So... I don't know what to call this. A DMnastisode? An EpiDMics? Whatever it is, it's really good! The format and length works out really well and "we" are very glad to have Mainprize back on the show. Also enjoyed the talk about the nastics #25. It's impossible to forget about George the Ogre!

I'm glad DMnastics has it's own show, it means there is something awesome to look forward to from the feed on Monday and Wednesday now!
I feel like if you manage to find George the Ogre's next entry it would be something along the lines of
"If George puts second nail in board, board get doubly more good!"

Glad you like the idea of it being its own show! Stay tuned for more!! Foreshadowing! It will be revealed in ~10 hours! Oh snap!! Thanks for the compliments on the show. Really excited to be able to dig more into the awesome content here on the forums, and have more time to lift the proverbial weights, haha.

I am also glad it has it's own show and more time. It takes a lot of time to go over what everyone has put together.
*grunt grunt* George likes people talk too. *grunt grunt*

Ya I am pretty excited as well, still trying to figure out how to make my beard noises not show up on the recording, seems like even if i set the preferences to record from my snowball it still records from my headset. So anyone who knows how to fix that without me shaving will be a true hero!

On a more serious note, what OS and recording program are you using?

Mac OS, just making an audio recording with QuickTime.
And my beard makes the sound of a dwarven war choir descend on an army of goblins.

I thought I hadn't responded to this earlier, but apparently not! catcharlie I record directly into Adobe Audition because that is the software I use to edit. That works on both Mac OSX and Windows, and I buy the Creative Cloud subscription at the educational discount for $20 a month. I also convinced DM Mitch and DM Chris to get that software to edit as well, haha. I know that at times using Audacity to layer tracks is really nice as well, and the price isn't bad at all! Using Quicktime is another great way to at least get isolated audio for everyone recording. I feel like that is the best thing you can do regardless of recording equipment. It is pretty impossible to fix things when the voices aren't isolated out. From there you can get a nice mic to help things along. I bought the Blue Yeti Pro, and I believe that dm_mainprize bought a Blue Snowball, but I can't remember what Chris and Mitch ended up getting. So yeah, there is all that info! Hope it helps.

Is there any additional settings or functionalty in Adobe Audition that you use (for DMB) that Audacity doesn't provide, I know you're not going to get everything you could need for free but I thought Audacity was pretty much everything a podcaster would need to record? (Not that I record using Audacity or know all the ins and outs of it)

I also convinced DM Mitch and DM Chris to get that software to edit as well, haha I still use garageband to edit audio. I love garageband, and editing on macs. The bundle was fantastic though, and worth it alone for photoshop

The thing I love about Audition is the ability to simply move things around super easily. Color codes tracks, effects are so much more in depth. Which will be great for upcoming projects we are working on. Over all I love audition way more. Hard to explain all the reasons if you have never played around with it before.
Audacity is still super great. Does everything we ever needed. But with being able to get all Adobe products for such a great price, thanks to me for still being in school, I decided to try it out. I love it. So great.
