The thing I love about Audition is the ability to simply move things around super easily. Color codes tracks, effects are so much more in depth. Which will be great for upcoming projects we are working on. Over all I love audition way more. Hard to explain all the reasons if you have never played around with it before. Audacity is still super great. Does everything we ever needed. But with being able to get all Adobe products for such a great price, thanks to me for still being in school, I decided to try it out. I love it. So great. That's cool, Audacity isn't always the most user friendly program, and usability is something that many people will pay for but is rarely in the design specs.

One thing that is crazy cool from Audition is the thermal style view instead of the typical wave for view. From there you can use the very Adobe style heal tool to fix issues in your audio. Maybe there was a high pitch whistle in the background, grab the heal tool, run it over the noise and it figures out what shouldn't be there, and the noise is gone! While it's not always that easy, it is surprisingly good. The other one that I love, but wouldn't be surprised if it were in other programs is the noise print then noise reduction. Essentially if you record several seconds of dead/ambient noise that would pick up the background noises of your recording area (fans, computer, etc) then make that a noise print. From there you can apply that noise print to the entire track to reduce those noises across the board. All that to say that I haven't invested a lot of time into anything other than Audition, haha. Setting up favorites is really nice too. I have a DMB Enhancer favorite that runs four effects one after another.

Mac OS, just making an audio recording with QuickTime. And my beard makes the sound of a dwarven war choir descend on an army of goblins. I thought it sounded more like one of those sound eggs, you know the ones that have these small balls / peas in them.
Slightly distractive (untill you get used to them)
