So DMC and I were talking this morning while hanging out in Roll20 and we came up with an idea that we want to share with you fellow blockheads. It does require that each person involved remain dedicated to the agreement, but everyone understands that life happens and we sometimes have to focus our attention elsewhere. That being said. I think (as do others) that it would very cool if we created a Biweekly Block Party. This block party would basically be a DnD game run via Roll20, using text or voice (skype/teamspeak/whatever) every other week. We also agree that if we had alternating DM's this would decrease the work load required to play, and give everyone a chance to play.
The only thing that needs to be sorted out is the number of players that can play, when the group wants to get together, and WHO wants to run a game for this block party. So if you have any feedback or amendments to this idea please feel free to say so. Right now this is in the planning stage, so the more input the better the outcome and the more likely this can/will happen.
One last thing before I forget. About the dual DM's. This can change over time, say DM A is running a premade module and the group finishes the module. If someone wanted to give DM'ing a shot with a different module or setting they could then step up and take over DM A's slot. Just an Idea!

That sounds like a great idea. In order to make it work though it would for sure need to be a locked date and time for the most part. Besides players and setting the first couple of DM's, I can't think of anything else that needs to be talked about. If the day and time are favorable, count me in.

no worries Frohtastic, I am sure that there is room still (DMC correct me if I am wrong here)! Either DMC or myself can help ya with the character portion, if you have time tomorrow let me know and I'll get on and walk you through some of the creation parts.
Also DMC.
Is this going to be turning into a ongoing campaign now, or is this still a 1shot mass-combat deal? I am asking because I am trying to get some of my ducks in a line here. Might decide to run a game if time permits!

As to yesterday, I completely brain-farted and forgot it was a holiday. Sorry! :/
For the game, I only have 3-4 maps plus the mass combat. I'm hoping to get you guys to 4-5th level by the time you get there. If you want to keep on going past that, I'm all for it!

Yes, standard array from the PHB. 15/14/13/12/10/8 Feats are allowed at 1st Level only if you use the Variant Human race description. Love to have you, dude! |
