Well, we still have some interest in the idea that janewalksfar planted the seed for, and I for one don't want to let it die.
To recap, this idea is for those of us who want to "Talk shop, test ideas, and share motivation while working on their campaigns/adventurers". I think every one of us has had a time where we wish we could talk to someone outside our group for inspiration and idea testing. For the most part, the DMB forums have been that to a lot of us, however speed is not one of its strong suits. DM Banter is something meant to fix that. A weekly or bi-weekly meetup of GM's who want instant feedback so they can plan sessions that are coming up soon, or just want to keep their brains sharp. So try and get this ball rolling shall we?
WHAT I IMAGINE THE DM BANTER TO BE
is a weekly or bi-weekly round table meeting. There, a GM can put forth a situation or 2 which they desire input, criticism, or feedback on. Some time is taken to do just that, help the GM in what ways we can, and move on to the next person. This is what I imagine DM Banter to be. It most likely will change given time, some of you may like the idea as is, and some may even want to add more to it. However some of you might not. Which is why I am writing this part. Whatever does or doesn't happen with DM Banter, with me putting forth time to organize it, that is what it WILL START OUT AS. Again, that is not me trying to say it will stay that way, but I think people would like to know what the intent of this is from the beginning.
