So I was creating a one shot where my party had to retrieve a book of Apocalyptic creatures from a tower of horrors. I actually may put that one up here when I get the kinks worked out of it, but that is besides to point. I got to thinking, what if you ran a campaign where a bunch of apocalyptic creatures got lose at the same time, but instead of destroying the world they get into a fight about WHO was going to be the one to destroy the world. The Horsemen of the Apocalypse, The Elder Gods, gods of destruction like Rovagug from Pathfinder, The Tarrasque, invading hyper-intelligent aliens, Galactus, ect. All fighting each other, all the while causing havoc in the world, but not straight out destroying it. So you would now have your players trying to survive through an eternal apocalypse, where cults of these beings are the new churches. Where they pray to their destroyers to win and finish the job. Where a simple journey to the next town could be interrupted by the Tarrasque brawling across the landscape against Galactus, or an alien fleet diverting fire power to strike at an Elder God. Obviously you would have to equalize all these beings power so one doesn't actually win, unless the party decides to get involved and help one of the win . Your guys thoughts?

That sounds awesome! It is the Godzilla movie in a D&D campaign (And I thought that was an excellent movie). I would love to do a campaign using this as the basis. You could do some of the Roleplaying ideas from DMB episode 24: Survival/Horror, but have twice as much destruction. This would be an awesome game for both DMs and Players.

A war torn world that had nothing to do with the war would be a pretty cool concept. Then the people have to decide which side they agree with or how to get all of the sides to go away. Would be tons of fun either way playing as a small specialized crew trying to complete tasks to further the goals they have.
