Here's another "Thing that Never should have Happened:" Saw this monstrosity at Comic-Con this year. Ugh... That is truly a horrible idea . Who thought: "you know what goes great with Star Wars... Furbies". Nope. Chances are 3,720 to 1 that that is a good idea...

I would have "accidentally" set that damn thing on fire, and made sure it burned!

I would have "accidentally" set that damn thing on fire, and made sure it burned! I imagine this playing out like Gamers 3. The thing would end up turning you insane.

I actually weirdly liked the Zelda cartoon. It is what got me into Legend of Zelda in the first place.

I actually weirdly liked the Zelda cartoon. It is what got me into Legend of Zelda in the first place. I loved the Zelda cartoon. It was the best part of the video game cartoon hour. Where I was living at the time, they'd air an episode each from two shows out of the three that Nintendo had out at the time: Super Mario Bros., Captain N, and Zelda. I lived for the days they'd play a Zelda cartoon, and was kinda bummed when it was just Mario and Captain N that day. In fact, I bought the series (all of them) on DVD when they came out a few years ago. Speaking of Things that Never should have Happened in the late 80's/early 90's (like the cancellation of all three of those series), I found out recently that the Original New York Seltzer brand soda company went under around that time. I say this because this Thing that Never should have Happened has just un-happened--check out what I just found last week and brought to my D&D game: Original New York Seltzer has returned! Six flavors, tastes just as good as I remember it! Same glass bottle and everything. Just returned this year, according to Wikipedia (the best source of information for the lazy people who don't care if the information is correct, like myself). Yeah, hyper-excited idiot behind the DM screen, running Spelljammer of all things. It was a fun and wacky night.

I love cream soda! There was nothing like Captain N. Mother Brain was so messed up. (Side Note: I actually grew up with the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons, which were also pretty fun). one of my favorite cartoon episodes of all time (outside of the Batman and ScoobyDoo teamup) was when Captain N and Link worked together. Plus, who doesn't love Gameboy?

I actually grew up with the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons, which were also pretty fun. Yup. Both Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons. The wacky and the more serious one. Both with Sonic voiced by Steve Urkel (Jaleel White). Fun times. In fact, the Sonic Chronicles game for the Nintendo DS (made by Bioware, of all companies) actually references the more serious Sonic cartoon (and comic series by Archie Comics), bringing in the SWATbots. Just a bit of trivial trivia.

Hmm... The games were pretty fun, but thinking back, I did enjoy the shows more. Well... the wacky ones were pretty strange (I'll never understand the fact that Tails was adopted by Sonic when Tails was a baby?!? Tails isn't even that young). Still, they looked better then the CGI Donkey Kong flicks (now those Hurt your eyes). That is an interesting bit of trivia! I had clocked so many hours on Sonic Chronicles, never knew Sonic would make an interesting RPG. The only Sonic game I played more on was Shadow the Hedgehog.

Looks as if we all have forgotten: Whatever the Dickens this feller is. Mario might make decent cartoons. However...
