As promised I will be updating the photo's of my homebrew world of Anchor Head. These two new maps are what I am hoping is the final iteration before adding political boundaries and cities. I also added some new features which I think helps explain some things in my world. I added blue outlines around the coastline of the continents, islands, and polar regions to represent the continental shelf or areas that are partially frozen. The blue outlines in the ocean represent shallow areas/coral reefs. As mentioned before, if you have any questions feel free to ask away and I will answer them! TGIF and enjoy your weekend EVERYONE! Sorry for the yellow/orange color of the paper. Was using a hobby lamp for lighting and didn't realize that it discolored the paper and made somethings harder to see. Southern Pretaeus

Holy Dice Rolls Madmaxi, that is amazing. It amazes me that people can project images from their mind onto paper like that.

This is really great. I've got two maps in the queue, and work (and Gamers Plane ) have been taking up more time than usual. But, I'm really excited about drawing this out.

Well blockheads I am at a point where I need your help. I have never been a big fan of elves so I don't work with their side of things often enough to be 'fluent' in what it takes to flesh their world out.
So here it is. I need help coming up with different elven tribe/society names. I already have a couple but I need more. Once I finish up the elves I can start mapping the second portion of my world. I know that the Dwarven and Elven cities are not listed on my maps but I know where they are, plus I am still experimenting with how to display them. Thanks in advance for the help!

Do the elves have a single united civilization? Or is there two different cultures, one of wood elves and one of high elves?
A lot of times people will make the high helves be very sophisticated and cultured, with cities and government hierarchy and whatnot, while the wood elves are a bit more tribal (not in the sense of being less technological, just not unified under a single government). The wood elves have towns and such, but tend to be more isolated and independent, with less interaction and coordination with the outside world.
It's just one take, but I've seen it done that way a number of times.
If that's the way you want to go, you'll want the high elven strongholds names to be different (and less "rustic," whatever that means in elven terms) than the smaller wood elf towns.

I hear what you are saying and it definitely makes sense. However there is no division of High/Low/Wood elves. Elves are just elves, they live as a single society and race. There are certain groups of elves that prefer a more nomadic lifestyle while others like their elaborate cities that are hidden deep in the woods/forests. All elves in my world a very attuned to nature and believe in leaving as little impact as possible on their environment. This has led to some elves creating vast cities in the canopy of large trees or to the first group of elves to live among the mountain peaks thanks to crystalline mineral. Which they help 'grow' in order to build their structures of living and protection from the elements.
I am mostly looking for names of the 'different factions' / tribes of elves. I have two factions already - Ravenwood Elves, - Everstar Enclave. I am looking for more help/inspiration with these.
Good looking out though Whipstache!

(these would be the common interpretations. Obviously, if you wanted something that sounded like it was in elvish, it would sound different.)
