Hello! It wasn't particularly related to the episode topic, but the idea for this room came to me while listening to DM-Nastics #148: Thank you fairy much!. It is still a work in progress, but I'm hoping to refine it a bit here and was hoping that some of you might offer some 3rd party insight, since I do have concerns.

So, any input for me? Please and thank you!
The "puzzle" element is really fairly simple, activate some pillars in a specific order, but the room design makes it a bit more challenging.
Here is the (very) rough sketch of what is going on - it's a real 3D space, so it's difficult to represent in 2D, but I think it's simplistic enough to wrap one's head around.
Essentially there is the ground floor, or Level 0, where the party enters. The floor is flat and square, maybe 100x100 total, and near each corner is a different pair of pedestals spaced apart so a human could stand between them, arms outstretched to grasp both. The statue's head is thrust upwards, mouth agape (ever see the end of Fifth Element? That. More similarity below) At the center is a massive statue (30-ish feet tall) that is standing between two much larger pedestals with its arms out stretched, resting on each.
100 feet above, at level 1, are 4 platforms, 30x30 each - and one each platform have 4 pairs of pedestals. The platforms are floating and moving slightly, but not tipping in any direction and not changing their positions substantially. The same applies to the higher level 2 and level 3.

Make sense? Sure it does!
So, they party will have some sort of activation item - a gem, password, small sacrifice... TBD - and they can activate any of the four, Level 0 pedestals.

- One of them is the correct choice and will teleport the person safely to a random platform on Level 1
- Two of them are not-so-bad and will teleport the person to a random platform on Level 1, but summon "The Soul Guardian" - some sort of specter creature that will attack the activator and others until it dies or they leave the room for 1 hour and it will despawn. If it is killed, a slightly stronger version will spawn 5 rounds later.

- One of them is a trap - it will deal damage to the activator and summon "The Soul Guardian"
Once the Correct pedestal is activated a bright beam of light ejects from the central statue's mouth and the pedestals begin to glow. Anyone using the glowing pedestals will be teleported to the same platform as the first party member - at least they are together, right! Once the room is left for more than 1 hour, the pedestals stop glowing. When an incorrect choice is made, a different color beam will erupt as a signal for what choice it is. (White = Correct, Blue = not-so-bad, Red = trap?)
Each of the four platforms on each level has an additional four pedestals - 16 in total per level. Only 1 pedestal is the correct pedestal of the 16, and one one each platform is a trap.

So, a lot of trial and error... maybe too much? I want it to be a slow process that they revisit several times, perhaps once the acquire the next level activation key (password, gemstone, whatever) or maybe when they explore other areas near by and uncover more information...
- Someone else made it to level 2, here are the pedestals to use on a map
- Here is a divining rod that indicates the correct pedestal by giving a hot/cold reading when other pedestals are tried ("Wrong platform, but right pedestal position" or "Right platform, wrong pedestal position" etc)
I am planning on putting in some magical effects to block or heavily discourage transferring between levels through "non-pedestal means". Save your flight spells and gimmacks for moving between platforms once you safely get to a higher level, I think will be the lesson fast learned.
