So this is a small tradition that exist in the lands of Legaria in my rp world.
Winter’s Bride
A tradition in the Legaria is the Winter Bride Festival.
There is a story that a long time ago a young woman longed to be married, but no man asked for her hand. After the winter ceremony has ended, and the village folks have left to continue the festival indoors, she remained outside waiting for any man to ask her to come inside. Strong in spirit, she stayed shivering in the cold storm hoping that someone would care, but with the music and mead she became forgotten as the winter snow embraced her frail body until the shivers ended with her last breath. It is said that in the snow storm of a Winter Festival, she can be seen dancing with a dress, as white as the purest snow, holding her hand out to the wind, as if the winter itself took her as it’s bride. Later, the winter festival was named Winter Bride festival. A common competition is to have young girls stay in a white wedding dress outside in a snowstorm and the last to stay would be crowned the Winter’s Bride, granted free food and drink for the night.

Ooooh there is the makings of a Scooby-Doo Mystery here. Or a serial killer. Or a horror film. So many juicy choices
