Ooooooh boy. So I just spent too many hours working on my setting PHB. After nearly 6 months, I am finally getting all the kinks worked out and material put together before I claim I am done building this world. Of course there will always be more, but the heavy lifting will be done. Would like your guys opinion on my PHB though. homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/HJvXomDE *NEW LINK JUST UPDATED DEMONIC SUMMONING* 10:56 am June 9th, 2016 This thing holds the biggest chunk of custom rules and ideas for the setting. Basically, the gods were "killed" and end of the world scenario is playing out, except....the world doesn't end. Instead, the 8 world ending creatures begin to fight eachother for the privilege of destroying the world. Meanwhile, everyone else is living in terror as these creatures brawl through the world. I wrote about this before on the forms. Here is my previous post about it if you want a little more info. dungeonmasterblock.freeforums.net/thread/536/

Oh yeah, forgot to add that I pretty much redid the gods besides Helm. Thier names and symbols are mostly place holders, and I plan an completely replacing the Tarrasque with something a little more unique eventally.

looks pretty sweet Laser. I did not get a chance to read it but I dig the layout/design. Only critique that I could give is on a few of the pages the background image overpowers the font in front it. Maybe increase the transparency of the background image.
Also how the heck did you do that layout/design? Was it with PS or were you using something like Gimp? I am looking to do something similar, I want to finish compiling all my notes for my homebrew into a campaign setting book. Any tips/pointers would be awesome!

Also is anyone familiar with the coding language it uses?! I would suggest experimenting with the front page test sheet. 2 important things to know though, adding images, tables, and other things can by done from the toolbar at the top and to make the different headers you use 1-5 # and then what you want to write. Like this ## This is My Header. If you need any more tips, I can help out.

yeah this is pretty dang cool. I really dig how he did this set up. Was just curious on how to do a few things but I think by playing with it a little as well as snooping around the interwebz I figured a few of them out!

Awesome setting concept! Is your plan to have things progress where the players/world hear of the 8 defeating each other. Will they potentially play a part in the demise of some of the 8 while trying to prepare to kill the final one left standing? So much good stuff! dmmadmaxi you should totally share your new found wisdom! I know several people have been using that site, myself included and would love to hear what issues you had and how you found solutions.

Will they potentially play a part in the demise of some of the 8 while trying to prepare to kill the final one left standing? So much good stuff! Some interesting stuff has happened thus far in the campaign. Such as, it looks like my group tipped the scales just enough so Apoctos will actually be able to kill the Mantis God. That in itself throws the balance of the Doombeasts off. Without the Mantis God, Verath and Apoctos will have an edge over the other Doombeasts that I am not sure they will be able to get passed unless they team up against the two. Considering the only ones that have an intelligence besides "kill kill kill" are Verath, Uhluhtk, the Mantis God, and The Horsemen, it really is a toss up on how it will go .

Joatmoniac: I found a link that he has in his example page that takes you to another website that explains some of the coding and gives a few things to try. That and just messing with/typing stuff up on my own. A lot of the issue I was having was with headers/spacing/etc. General layout things and it honestly just takes some playing with to get it right.

So according to the front page: NaturalCrit, The Homebrew is using Markup as it's language, I found a Cheat Sheet here, so I hope that helps, I presume all of it will work and that the cheat sheet has everything you will need.

Alright I have a formatting question. Does any one know how I can split a large block of text into the upper half of a page instead of it staying in a single large column. Reason I am asking this is because I am creating my own Pantheon and want to describe the hierarchy of the gods and then list the actual gods on the lower half of the page.
Thanks for any help!
