Thanks, been hacking away it for about a week now. Like I said, everything is in flux right now, so don't read too deeply into anything. It's subject to change at a moment's notice.

I'm working on a few maps for a classic dungeon crawl, so hopefully I'll have that done in a week or so. In the meantime...if everyone could whip up their 1st level PC and send 'em to me, that'd be great! I really only need Page-1. Host the .PDF on Dropbox or somewhere and post the link here. Every race/class from the 5E PHB is acceptable. Ability scores will be either points-buy, or standard array (15/14/13/12/10/8). Both can be found on PHB Page #13. Google Drive link okay for the character sheet, DMC? Zain "Sixer" Talis

D'oh! Completely forgot that it might be another week or two before I'm ready. I'm spending the next 4 days at the Star Wars Celebration convention here locally in Anaheim. See you all in a few days!

That sounds like a terribly awesome reason, haha. A friend of mine is headed down there after making his own jedi costume (side note: I own a rental quality chewbacca costume, haha). I thought about going as I only live about 3 hrs away. Also, I made my character, or at least enough to send it your way. Have fun at the Star Wars Celebration!

Randomly rolled race and class, then wrote down the standard array and randomly rolled to determine which ability they would go towards, that was really scary, but in the end worked out ok. So I present my character sheet for Torstein Stoneaxe

So I present my character sheet for Torstein Stoneaxe Imagine the old 1st edition days. Back then you rolled 3 dice, once for each stat, in order. Then you applied racial bonuses and that was that. so you could have a character with a Con of 3, and you were stuck with it! Classes had stat restrictions too, so your class choices were directly based off your stats. Talk about scary! Back then, the dice really mattered.

True story. So hard to have a Paladin because you literally needed the gods to smile on you while rolling dice. I did a dice pool with my last group to simulate a powered up version of that. They have to set how many dice they wanted to allocate to each stat then just go with it from there. Was lots of fun, but is somewhat difficult to have a balanced party. Ended up having one person reroll because they were extremely under powered compared to the rest of the party. I sent my Character Sheet to DMC directly, but everyone is posting them here so I will too! Rangar Treebrew

Nothing like a good old fashioned Treebrew! This one-shot is gonna be super cool.

Should I roll a cleric or a ranger? I have ideas for both and can't decide.
Edit: Ok you got me, I've already rolled both and can't choose.

Having a cleric in the group is never a bad thing. Some healing always goes a long way in 5E, and you can bring my favorite spell (Inflict Wounds) to the table as well! 3 to 30 on a successful touch attack! That is my personal leaning, but depending on what is in store the Ranger could be extremely useful. All that to say of course pick the one that seems like it will be the most fun for you, haha.

Can you plug a USB keyboard into it? Never touched an iPad, so no idea. If all else fails, you can send me a block of text (private message or e-mail) with all the relevant stats, and I'll fill one out for you.

From the research I did. You can do a form fillable pdf on the iPad if it is the perfectly built form fillable pdf (which most are not.) It needs to have exactly the right formatting and build for it to work in an Adobe app on the iPad. The character sheet I downloaded from the WotC site wouldn't work in the specific Adobe app for filling in pdfs. I also have good reader pro and that wouldn't do it either. Granted the Adobe Fill & Sign -Easy PDF form filler seems like it could work easily for putting text exactly where you would want it in the format that you would want it, but it was not interacting with what I knew to be a form fillable pdf. Essentially there isn't much in terms of easily filling them out into the pre built fields, but enough to get you by for sure.
