Perhaps if Mainprize ran an aquatic one-shot I could convince my wife it was for work. :-D Haha that would be sweet. I am willing to try it, but i'm pretty sure I am the least experienced DM here. Only been behind the screen since Oct 2014! So i'm a baby compared to all you guys! But if it gives you a solid reason for the wife! I am 100% onboard, or should I say OVERBOARD!! Lol! No pressure. I can't promise anything; in the middle of a job change and recovering from a bad car accident. Life is a little crazy. Plus my son is arriving planetside in a few weeks. Can't wait to meet him.

Tangent: On the topic of aquatic campaigns. My boy just told me he created a stat block for a Water Giant, but he can't find the notebook he created all his monsters in (hence the lack of a Whangdoodle stat block post). If he finds it, I'll post it.

Is there a way for to use your mentor account but allow someone else to have control from the DM perspective? And directly connected to that, how would alternating DMs work? would which switch each session or switch after a set story was done? I believe that is the case, yes. I can make other people DM's on any game I created. As for the alternating games...I think it'd be fun to switch it up after each session! Kinda like that campfire game where one person starts off on a story and goes for a minute or so, then it's on to the person to their right to continue, building off of the previous person's stuff. It could be something super-silly and breaking the 4th wall kinda stuff, or deadly serious and grim.

I am not completely into the 'passing the screen' idea, but I think this would definitely be an exception. I think it would be DMBish at the very least.

That would be awesome. I would love to be a PC or DM if no one was available. I already have an entire roll 20 campaign setup for the 5e Starters Set. But would love love love to play in someone elses one-shot or world as I have already DM's the starters set twice. Would love to play in it to see how another DM runs it. This is a great idea. You still up for DMing?

Doesn't that essentially say that Dm_mainprize would prefer not to DM the game? Also, Almarianknight said he "would love to DM"but doesn't think it would be a good idea, haha. So it is in a wonderful state of limbo still it would seem.

I would be up for it as DM or player, I am not opposed to DMing, I just think I am one of the green-est DMs here so it might run more smoothly if someone with more experience ran it and I think I could gain a decent amount of DM wisdom from being a player in another DMs game. I have DM'd it twice so feel that playing in it would be the next way to learn about the starters set from a new angle!
I will DM, I think someone could DM better, would love to play as well.

You would DM way better then me! I have done one (and a half) games and didn't entirely use the system correctly. Plus, I am afraid I would be tempted to place a Food Mage that specializes in Skittles in the middle of the road...

Me and DMC are going to have a quick one-on-one soon (hopefully). Once I'm comfortable with the tools, I've got a hex exploration campaign I've been creating, and would love to have you guys check it out. Would probably be an ongoing thing, as well.

OOO nevvur that sounds so fun!! I have read about hex explorations and westmarch styles of games and think they sound like they would be a blast! I think who ever has the most experience using roll20 should DM I have only used it once to actually DM.

I'm working on a few maps for a classic dungeon crawl, so hopefully I'll have that done in a week or so. In the meantime...if everyone could whip up their 1st level PC and send 'em to me, that'd be great! I really only need Page-1. Host the .PDF on Dropbox or somewhere and post the link here. Every race/class from the 5E PHB is acceptable. Ability scores will be either points-buy, or standard array (15/14/13/12/10/8). Both can be found on PHB Page #13.

Question: do you prefer a particular Character Sheet? I wanted to fill out an Alternative 2 Character sheet and was wondering if that was all right. Or if you wanted all of them the same? And will we use voice chat, because if so I will have to ask around the office for a headset?

I'll be running a very non-standard setting, so different rules on character creation when I run mine. I'm probably a week or two out from being ready, but here's the link to the main page. Note, almost everything is undergoing a major change right now (exploration mechanics, character creation, zone events, etc). I alpha tested this with my home group, and it was kind of a fail, but you guys will be my beta test once I have the major kinks worked out. In the meantime, you can get an idea for the sort of character you want to play. Be prepared to fly! haithex.obsidianportal.com/

Wow! That setting looks really cool Nevurr. I like the entire concept, it will certainly take a couple reads to get the gist of everything...
