Mew Chan's SlideshareSo, I stumbled across this website called slideshare. It's owned by LinkedIn, I think, and designed to share presentation slides and associated documents. I've linked to an account that has uploaded a TON of 3.5, 5e, & version-agnostic D&D books, all available to download for free. Here is but a sample of the documents available: As a disclaimer, you should only download copies of books you have legally purchased.

Here is a super cool article (from a site with other cool/inspiring articles) that has real world "cursed" and mysterious locations. www.thevintagenews.com/2016/02/15/56039/Edit: Also, this is apparently my 1,000th post on the forums!

Great random generator for World Maps, Dungeon Maps, Calendars, Calculators, and all kinds of cool stuff! donjon.bin.sh/This is a great one, and I think the first one I ever put on the list. I have been using the 5e cypher generator to make quick little trinkets with magically effects.

This is a great one, and I think the first one I ever put on the list. I have been using the 5e cypher generator to make quick little trinkets with magically effects. I had never used the cypher portion of it before...but you have made a believer out of me! Here is link directly to the Cypher generator as it is kinda hidden. It is so much fun to use, just needs a litttle tweaking to fit whatever you are doing, but most of the are single use "grenades" or "injectors" that give a momentary magic benefit. Here are some examples. A jagged spindle of red glass warped by magic. When impaled into flesh, the cypher dissolves and grants you advantage on charisma checks until you take a long rest. A slender shard of amethyst containing a mote of darkness. When impaled into flesh, the cypher dissolves and transforms you into an octopus for 1 minute. A broken orichalcum ring on a leather cord. When thrown at a target, the cypher conjures an area of double gravity. Crystal Fragment: A large fragment of an obsidian sphere, containing a shifting cloud of light. When held and activated, the cypher allows you to scry an individual creature known by name. However, you can only see their face. A jagged copper shard engraved with strange symbols. When held and activated, the cypher grants you advantage on attack rolls until the end of your next turn. An iron shard smeared with iridescent ichor. When thrown at a target, the cypher causes a small earthquake (knocked prone, Dex save negates). A broken bloodstone idol warped by magic. When thrown at a target, the cypher explodes into a flash of darkness (4d6 necrotic damage, Con save half). A griffon's claw engraved with incoherent labyrinths. When held and activated, the cypher conjures a bolt of lightning (range 100 feet, 6d6 lightning damage, Dex save half). A jade fragment warped by magic. When thrown at a target, the cypher conjures an area of zero gravity. A hydra's tooth withered by magic. When held and activated, the cypher grants you advantage on your next attack roll. Cypher!

Hexographer - (for making overland or city maps) yep used it many times, really easy, runs on Mac or Windows via Java.
Syrinscape - (for specific noises or ongoing sound affects) recently got into this, against easy to use, really good product.

I did a quick scan through here and didn't notice the www.dmsguild.com listed here. Maybe it's a given or maybe it's not list because it's not free? I had no idea it was there until it was mentioned that Mercer put his Gunslinger class up there. Lots of "homebrew" stuff up there from classes, races, magic items and even dungeons. I recently picked up a couple of pretty cool armory lists for 1 of our guys that was bored with the standard long sword short sword ax and hammer list. Also picked up a cool bestiary list meant for druids to help my wife choose fun interesting beasts and break away from the standard wolf and bear shift. I know I know we like to create our own stuff but just like these forums it's an infinite well of knowledge and inspiration to help us create our world. Yea it's not free but most things are pay what you want and it allows us to support our fellow world builders. End rant... Man I hope I didn't miss it already being in the thread.

I don't think it was, and it is a great resource to be sure. Especially with the amount of "pay what you want" products, which means they could be free if that what you wanted to pay. Tons of free resources straight from Wizards as well. Great addition!
