I have been sitting on this for waaaaay to long. The webshow, LARPs The Series, started up the beginning of this year. It is a show about a LARP group, not the campaign or the characters, but the actual people involved. The acting is great, the camera work fantastic, and the fight scene choreography is superb. I don't know if anyone here plays in a LARP, I don't, but I feel like the issues that arise in the show are similar ones that some of us may have experienced while playing/running RPG games. Albeit a little more intense because of the nature of the game. I would really recommend it to anyone into the TTRPG scene, and quite a few who are not. The show is hosted on the Geek & Sundry Youtube Channel and they air every Thursday. The 7 episode of their 2nd season last week and it was AMAZING. Seriously please check it out. Here is the Link to the Youtube playlist. Just a warning, the playlist play order is a little messed up right now so don't just press Play All or you will start with the most recent episode of Season 2. EDIT: Oh Hey I also found their wiki with the series synopsis....... yeah you should look at that as well.

I've been watching this as well, I've watched the first series and have been downloading (well, ripping from Youtube) the second series, I should really watch it. The only real negative that I would say about it is the short episode lengths, the episodes in S1 averaged on 6 minutes (including into/outro) and S2 averages about 12 minutes. I would love for them to be longer but I understand why they wouldn't be longer.

This is indeed a great series, and while I also have never been involved in a LARP, I know that there are some on the forums who have. I would wholeheartedly agree that there are similarities to issues while playing a TTRPG and that they are likely exaggerated forms of them on LARPs to help create drama and tension. I wish they were longer form, or even longer seasons, but of course silly ol funding gets in the way of that, haha. Hopefully they keep making them as I will definitely keep watching them!

I really enjoyed the LARPs series as well (and did not realize the second season was underway. Thanks for the info!). Probably my favorite part about this specific series is that it has none of the cheasy switching from fantasy to real world. They keep everything in one place. That Nerf scene was by far the best scene in the previous season.
