I think GRRM might, and a giant might at that, finish books 6 before Season 6, but there is no way on earth he finishes 7 in time. I would go so far as to predict that he might not finish 7 at all, or will take a decade because the show will already have given away the ending. Endings which he has already told the showrunners, just not how to get there. Will be interesting either way!

biggest question of the story is "who is Jon snows mother?" If you want the prevailing theory, click the "SPOILERS" tags in the posts above on Page-3. I've heard that for Season 6/7, the show will be ahead of the books...so for the first time that I can recall ever, the show will spoil the books! Bizzaro world indeed.

I believe that the first time was actually the baby conversion scene, but I could be wrong.

Well, looks like I'm going to have to become that spoiler freak guy. That sucks, I hate that guy! But, these are some of my favorite books ever and I would be most upset to have the ending spoiled just because TV world moves faster than book world. A shame, its a great show, but I know where my loyalties are.

To me, they're almost like two separate entities now as it is. Both great, but separate.

S5 premier felt...a bit like a "catch-up/re-cap" to me. The only new story that really appeared was the Sons of the Harpy stuff in Meereen. Everything else was post-S4 fallout. Not bad at all, just not what I was expecting.

Just got myself a Kindle Fire for my b-day (huzzah for Amazon credit card points!) and downloaded the Game of Thrones game from Telltale. I've heard a lot of complaints about the Telltale Games style of game, but I'm really enjoying it. Not a very active game, more decision making and tapping buttons/items, but a great story that changes based on your decisions. Like a Choose Your Own Adventure video game (all those under 30 probably have no idea what that means). Anyway, recommended if you like that style of game.

I could see potentially how someone wouldn't like that style, but I LOVED the Walking Dead games they made in that style. I have thought about getting the GoT one, and likely will now that you have given it your stamp of approval.

The only thing I don't like is the pay for episodes format. You get into the story, but if you want to continue, you have to keep paying.
