Hello Blockheads!
Hope everyone is well! I haven't posted much recently, but I am anticipating an issue coming up in my campaign and I would love the input of the Hive Mind.
Player vs. Player. I am running a campaign with two groups in the same game world. The world is a Star Wars AU. There is an Imperial group and a Rebel group. It is inevitable that there will be inter-group conflict. I've structured the game in such a way as to bring them together; numerous cross-party tie-ins, a larger metaplot that will force them together, etc.
However, PvP makes me nervous. Players get really attached to their characters. Its one thing for the big evil GM to kill a PC. Its quite another to have another PC/Player do it.
Has anyone run a campaign with PvP? Any advice? Potential pitfalls? Thought experiments? I'll take it all folks! Let me know what you think!

I have not had a situation like this before, but if they do meet up I would do what I do in most stupidly dangerous situations. I would sit the players down and remind them death is a very real outcome and they should be aware of that. If they should ever get to a point where they are actually in combat with one another, I would remind the PLAYERS that they are fighting against OTHER PLAYERS at this point. For as much as we try to make fair and realistic worlds, us GMs still are not partial to killing PCs in most cases. However players, as they should know, are sneaky, viscous, and creative as balls. Other then that, I can't offer to much more help . Though I would love to hear if anyone else as advice, insight, or advice.
