I didn't make these but stumbled upon them in the comments of a reddit post on r/dnd www.theweem.com/2010/10/weems-updated-condition-cards/I like that they say things like "I can't move" ect. so even if a player doesn't know how a condition works you can just give them the card for it.

Just what I needed for my future gaming group. This is great for beginning DM's who just got the 5e PHB (like me). Less flipping through pages, and it makes new gamers more comfortable with D&D as a game. Thanks, this is super helpful!

This reminds me of spell cards my DM used to make for people who were having trouble remembering what their abilities do. It makes me think I might do this for one of the players in my group who is having trouble. Sorry, just rambling.

These are brilliant! Thanks so much! Couldn't have said it better. If anyone does public play groups at all these would be the best thing ever! I think these coupled with some spell cards would make you the belle of the ball at any public play table, haha.

Makes it so much easier than having to refer to the book constantly.
BAM! You're Blinded? Here's your card.

About to get some ink on my way home today to print some out for my next session. Also, speel cards are great. I'm planning to color code them by level in the corners. Plus I'm going to draw some inspiration from these cards on how they are organized.

So this thread has me thinking, what do you guys do at your table to keep track of who or what is under the effect of which conditions? do you just try and remember? or do you have tokens or markers that indicate when a certain person is frightened, grappled etc. ?

For my home group I tend to alternate between just trying to remember and keeping track of it in the excel spreadsheet I have on the PCs that I also use for initiative. If it isn't my typical group though I try to use some sort of marker to help out.

With the few games I've ran, we have completely forgotten what happens to the PCs. After a fun and (surprisingly) easy battle we will all remember at once that one character was blind and he saw perfectly throughout the entire battle. Another reason I definitely want to use these cards!

I put it on the players to remember. But, as they have a tendency to "forget", I also make notes on a dry erase board I use to track initiative.
These cards are great, but they are for 4e (unless I missed something) and the effects are slightly different in 5e. I have downloaded them and will likely make some quick text changes to update them to 5e. If I find the time to do it, I will share them here.
I've been thinking of doing something similar with initiative. Just making some 3x5 index cards with numbers on them. We all roll, I write it down on the dry erase, then pass out cards so everyone can see at a glance their place in the order.
Edit: I was wrong, the cards are for 5e.

One of my players recently found a great deal on small dry erase boards. I think he bought eight of them for a dollar a piece. I keep forgetting he has them, so thank you for reminding me to remind him to bring them to every session, haha. I know a ton of people have taken to the name card initiative order, and maybe something that easily goes on those could help with conditions.

My group plays on a kids train table. We flipped the painted inserts and drew a grid on it. Then we went to Lowes(other hardware stores are available) and bought a piece of plastic sheeting/Plexi-glass. We use it to draw maps on as well as to keep track of initiative order and conditions. We just right them in front of each person, you definitely could use white boards for a plethora of similar things.

That is an awesome DIY idea for a gaming table. Glad you posted the imgur link or I would have been asking for pics, haha. My group uses a pool table with the super nice cover on top of it. It helps because I have 6 players in my group. Thanks again for the share.
