Hey guys, A game that I personally love is Dark Souls! I know it is a bit over-hyped, but it honestly has some pretty amazing story and monsters to draw inspiration from. I have a whole bunch of info that I can put up here to draw from, but I figure I will start with some monsters that I found converted to 5e. I didn't make these, so please thank the original author on reddit for his awesome work! Dark Souls Compendium
I also have been working on some write ups for how to handle death as a Dark Souls game and some lore summaries that people could take inspiration from. If those interest you folks, just lemme know!

I actually just recently did a dark souls inspired adventure. My adventure started with a vampire who wanted to use the PCs to retrieve an artifact for him. But the artifact was on an island where undead live. Kind of like the scourge in WOW. Anyway, the safest way into this place was to act like slaves. But here was the trick. The vampire handed them cursed chockers to put round there neck. Once attached they could no longer heal. And once the hit 0 they become hollows. I used a DC WIS to see if they kept there memories. One of my players almost rage quit by the end of this adventure lol.

I have a group of avid Dark Souls players. They will be so hype when I drop one of these things into my game. Thanks for digging this up galakan.

Thanks for digging this up galakan . No prob! There's some awesome stuff from this game and I was actually surprised that there was this little converted to D&D You will have to let me know how it goes when they face off against one of these. I am curious to see how balanced these encounters are. dmnate (first of all my name is also nate so we Nates shall band together to form a mighty force) - anyway getting the hollowed thing into D&D is probably one of the trickier things. I am actually thinking of a system where you let the players die X amount of times and they get more and more hollow and crazed as they do so (using some modified version of the madness rules from the DMG). I am glad that one player didn't actually rage quit. Since Dark Souls is one of those settings that is supposed to be difficult I think that this is one of the things that scares me the most.

I like the whole madness idea makes it more along the lines of dark souls. I was thinking they may have to be like vampires and use souls as currency and to sustain life or undead life I guess lol. Also you really could tie the whole campaign into the nine hells where soul trade is common. It would be really fun but your players should be experienced dnders! Fighting the arch Devils instead of the big bosses in dark souls. Kinda stay true to the dnd multiverse you know?
👊✋ Nate powers activate!!
