Hello Fellow DMs
Here are some adventure ideas I have had since taking up the mantle of DM.
Tower of Atoz.
- In the days of old a wizard constructed a living sentient tower to work and live in. This tower grew in size and power and had rooms and levels for all the wizards needs. For some reason (death of the wizard, wizard delving to deeply and to greedily etc.), the tower becomes curse and begins moving across the world devouring all in its path. This living mobile tower is headed toward the homes of good folk and your heroes need to stop it. The tower has 27 floors in it. Each floor correlates to a letter of the alphabet. For each letter theme a floor with one time of minion from the Monster Manual. The 27th floor contains either the wizard, the heart of the tower(perhaps a gem, perhaps an actual gigantic beating heart.), your heroes must ascend all 27 floors and destroy the heart to stop the tower.
-this adventure idea is to showcase the Monster Manual and give a very difficult dungeon for your players crawl through. If you want more info I could share it but for now I will move on to another idea.
Chaos Crystals
- Long ago a council of evil and power hungry warlocks attempted to cage a sentient being from the planes of chaos into a crystal and then use this being to rise to power, this crystal would have been terribly powerful and the warlocks could have plunged all of the world into a horrifying darkness. However the power of the being could not be contained, the crystals shattered and were scattered to the four corners of the world and the souls of the warlocks were trapped therein. These Chaos Crystals have been missing for many an age. If the Chaos Crystals are ever rejoined the Warlocks will be freed and will attempt to exact vengeance on all in their path.
-The group will start with a simple quest but will stumble upon their first chaos crystal and must decide what to do with it.
Chaos Crystal
· Sentient with the living soul of the warlock trapped inside.
· Can be attuned to grant bonuses or powers to the user
· Being attuned can cause side effects that can be devastating
· Dying while holding and being attuned to a crystal will resurrect you, but will begin to transform you into something not so human.
-There are 4 crystal a black, red, green, and blue crystal. Each gives the player holding it and attuned to it various abilities. If the players dies with a crystal 4-5 times they will transform into a monster and lose control of their character.
Those are 2 of my ideas. Would love feedback and to hear some other ideas out there. Also I have more typed up about these so feel free to ask for more info.
