If you haven't figure out what this part is quite yet, well it's about the map! I spent some time trying to find good generic maps, and I ended up with five options that I thought were good enough to toss out as potential options. Using good old donjon I came up with these generic maps, but after we choose one it will most likely get a better/higher quality treatment. Good enough description for me. On to the maps! Dayeimbe World Map 1Dayeimbe World Map 2Dayeimbe World Map 3Dayeimbe World Map 4Dayeimbe World Map 5There they are in all their random, but picked through glory. Cast your votes, gave two to help out, so we can get a world map! P.S. My apologies for the lowish quality, but if you zoom in a little it is easier to see that there are castles icons, and town icons. icons for hills, mountains, forest and jungle. Hopefully the quality works well enough for deciding things right now.

I'm on my mobile for the next few days. So I can't see the icons but I like the land mass of map 5

I was split between 1 and 5 (good thing you can vote twice...) I am partial to 1, I love the large Northern area and it has a nice chunk of land. I agree with MadMaxi, 5 has a nice size land mass as well. This is a great way to choose the map of the world! I was wondering how we were going to pick the land mass.

Was voting 1, until I saw 5. Lots of land, lots of water bodies, islands, etc.

I always end up on that world generator when I am at donjon. I had to go 5 as well. It's a good starting point at least. I could see some tweaks here and there. Dig it though.

Man alive, it would appear that there is some overwhelming support of Map #5. I probably close this forum's poll sooner than I thought because of this. When I so we can move on to working through some defining factors for the map!

I liked 3 most, as the large ocean presents a great barrier to oversea travel (and fits my DMnastic about the airship!)

I'm split between 1 and 5 - I like all the arctic area of 1, but when I think about the scale you'd still have plenty with 5, plus some a lot of inner sea potential.

Too many good options! How about we just choose all of them and have each land mass be a different continent across an entire world? (Which reminds me, will this world have an ending? Or will it be a globe? Or a square? Or really the dead body of Stomp?)

5 looks sweet. Has a good mix of everything.

I liked 4&5 but i went with 4 because 5 had to many lakes.
It is for simplicity

I'll just string them all together and create a halo. I am leaning towards it being a globe as that is what the map was built off of. Allows for more ice type things given that they would all be together. Open to discussion on other takes on structure rather than a globe. Also, it looks like Map 5 is going to just run away with it, haha.

I can see interpid yacht racers vying to see who can catch the most air as they propel themselves over the edge between faces!
