Hey gents! Good morning. FG remains my favorite online medium and my Princes of the Apocalypse campaign is progressing well.
One improvement would be nice... allow NPC initiative rolls from the NPC sheet...it may be operator error however. I need to look into it a little more perhaps.

Interesting idea. There may be a way to add it to a Trait/Action field in the NPC information, so it's merely a click. I use (Under GM Options) Auto NPC Initiative. Which this calculates a separate initiative for each NPC in an Encounter. Is this more for the "a sudden fight breaks out with the NPC" scenario? I will see if I can come up with an easy way.

Good idea on the trait/action field. I'll be sure to try that. And I like the idea of setting that up in auto mode. I still like to roll NPC initiative separately however. There is the thrill of seeing where they are integrated into combat... and mire importantly, the fun of adjusting the story accordingly.

Yeah, that's why I like that setting choice. It has two options. "Group" for rolling the whole mob group under one initiative, the more traditional way I guess you would say. It also can be set to "Individual" as well. Then when you drag an encounter group from an Encounter to the Combat Tracker, each hostile is given a separate initiative. I like this style because it mixes in all the NPC's with the PC's. Makes combat feel more "real" in the sense that initiative is an individual action, even for monsters, in a combat scenario. They won't all react at the same time. (Maybe Hive-mind style NPCs would all get the same initiative.) It's a pain in the ass way to do it sitting around a table, but with technology of the VTT making it easy, why not do it I say?
