This is a pretty cool idea. If I were going to do it, I'd make them class paths. Take the abilities inherent in the prestige class, and make them match the 5e level progression.
It seems to me that this was already done in some places; the rogue Assassin and Arcane Trickster were both prestige classes in 3.5.

the Radiant Servant would be pretty based on light and healing. So can actually use a lot of the ones from dndtools.pw/classes/radiant-servant-of-pelor/ as is. But some of them lack a little.. umph?. perhaps add some of the divine feats from the book of the exalted?

I agree with Friartook in that in 5e it feels like the "Archetypes" are the prestige classes so I would look at creating new ones based on the prestige class you want. If you are really wanting a higher level thing that you work into, I guess the easiest method would be to create a series of Advanced Archetypes that you progress into from the first Archetypes. This would probably take a decent amount of work to balance out, but it could be fun!
I actually enjoy that I feel like I can create any archetype I want, and the template is pretty easy to see for each class so balancing just that should not be difficult.

It's funny you mention this because I've actually been working on a few of these with my friend who will be DMing a "reborn" version of the first campaign he and I ever played in. My first character was an Invisible Blade, so we've been working on a rogue archetype version of it so I can recreate the character in 5e. It's not very balanced (it's going to be a more superhero feeling campaign anyways so we haven't been too worried about it) and is a little more combat focused and less roleplay focused than other rogue archetypes, but once we've got it nailed down to what we want I'd be willing to share it if anyone is interested. We're also working on a few others for other players in this campaign and I've been thinking about doing a few on my own just for fun.

I havent really been able to work on it much atm though, dat work. but radiant servant feels like a combination of light and life domains in 5e.

I am hoping that they come out the prestige classes in the near future. It would definitely add some more FLAVOR to things.
