The current map I am using for my campaign, sorry about poor quality, the map is quite a large file so this is the best I could do before I can actually scan it in.
This is the region of Vallin, split into three main sections, the central region of Vallinheim, the southern region of Cellyn and the northern region of Isar, aslo in the north-west is the dwarven settlements of Vatarrn, the Goliath tribes in the northern pass along the large central river, the Golkah, the north-east has the orcish region of Oraklin. The south-west has the Serassin isles of the Lizardfolk and in the centre, just west of the region of Vallinheim, is the halfling village of Selyne. The forested region in the south is dotted with elven settlements and the marshes to the east are filled with all manner of goblinoids.
Notice the lack of gnomes? That's because they have no permanent settlements of their own, they originally lived in the region of Vallinheim around the human capitol of Dostrin, they were subjugated and enslaved by the Vallin and have since been used to mine iron for weapons and to work in the quarries to fuel the granite and masonry industry.
Vallin and the Cities of Mention
Cellyn
Viltarth-The northern most city of Cellyn, prospering on trading hides, furs and meats from Isar and collecting lumber from the Woodrun River. The goods traded up from the rest of Cellyn and also from Dostrin in Vallinheim travel through this city to Isar and the dwarven region of Vatarrn in the northern mountains.
Corsan-The capitol of Cellyn and largest city of Vallin, the most fundamental farming region of the country, providing food to, not just the rest of Cellyn, but to Vallinheim and to Isar as well. It's position on the west coast puts it dangerously close to the Lizardfolk islands of Serrassin but this lends itself a boon in the form of military aid from Dostrin and the elven settlements to the south making Corsan one of the most fortified human cities, second only to Dostrin.
Kostnil-This is the most eastern settlement in both Cellyn and all of Vallin. This is a military outpost turned large town, defending the rest of Cellyn from the goblin raids coming out of the Orab Marshes. Not a difficult job and indeed, most of its wealth comes from trade with the elven settlements to the south along the Golkah River.
Selyne-A Halfling village, not that remarkable except that Cellyn has conceded a small region of land to the Halflings as a sign of respect, reflecting their fondness for the entrepreneuring little folk.
Vallinheim
Dostrin-The capitol and only large city of Vallinheim. Also the most highly defended and well fortified city in the known world, even the dwarves of Vatarrn show respect to the great stone walls surrounding the hilled settlement. It's wealth comes from the stone quarries creating a wall of granite around the city, the mason's guild by far the most wealthy and influential in the region. Also worthy of note are the camps adjacent to the main walls of the city. These are gnome work camps, where the city keeps its slaves who work the mines and quarries.
Isar
Isolt-The main city of western Isar and capitol of the region. It prospers in trade with Vatarrn as well as being the city through which the goods of the world travel to the dwarven settlements. Originally a small fishing village it's recent trade agreements have made its size rival Corsan.
Sakvol-The most northern human city, directly adjacent to the orcish lands of Oraklin. Unlike the forts along the river to the south, controlled by Vallinheim, the Isaran city actively trades with the orcs as well as the goliath settlements to the north along the Golkah. Although orcish and goliath goods are not valued in most of the country, many people in western Isar covet the hunting weapons and their traps are more than devious. Even some elvish merchants have an interest for goliath "art" pieces, finding them a unique curiousity.
I will look to post more about Vallin and the rest of Cerithea. For now, please enjoy what I have posted here
