This must be the single best episode yet released and I am excited for the next episode. DM Morgan was absolutely amazing! His ideas were fun and greatly inspirational. Also, Joatmoniac and Mainprize: Stellar work! The new segment was both well made and fun to listen to (and reminded me of that Coffin mimic, which I have yet to use!).
I compiled a few of my favorite moments in the episode (just because this was so great): 1. Chihuahuas are evil. Amen. 2. What if you did meet a troll that smelt like roses? 3. #uggghnick 4. Now I am thirsty for coke. And, 5. Elven blood would, most certainly, without a doubt, taste like cherry.
Great work guys!

This made me think off how better my game would be if I was more descriptive in the moment of the game. Like they are traveling down the road with early morning fog that is wet to the skin.
So much more can come from that
Early morning : usually quiet harder to sneak around Wet to the skin: if going off the road your boots maybe get heavier from the dew
Early morning fog : visibility is smaller from the light reflecting off the fog
Thank you i really need to pay more attention to this and i bet my players will enjoy the game with more details.
Also congrats to Joatmoniac and Mainprize

Awesome podcast! Amazing what it will do to your game when you go into it thinking you have to describe things so that the blind know what you are talking about! May have to use this trick when I dm from now on!

Very cool that DM-nastics is getting some air time! (and thanks for the mention) Thanks for the awesome idea to give a mention to. Hopefully people are/will enjoy the DM-Nastics segment, and that we can make it even better as it goes on. I liked this episode and can't wait to hear the new Top 10. Seeing as how ridiculously good the past ones were, and how much hype there is about this one, I can only assume it will be amazing! What could top the Food Mage, Level 20 Commoner, and Crazy Cat Lady!? More Top 10s all the time!

Awesome episode that really gave me a SENSE of descriptions. Have to admit one thing in the top tens that really stood out for me was morgans nr10. which was blatantly this i.imgur.com/rAdm2.jpgI mean not to sound like "that guy" but really taking the entire thing? Edit: Hah, his number 3 reminded me of the Prison from FF8, a awesome idea to implement into D&D.

I can't wait to get there. The world-building episodes are my favorite.
I think I'm at episode 30 right now, slowly but surely catching up.

Edit: Hah, his number 3 reminded me of the Prison from FF8, a awesome idea to implement into D&D. It certainly seems to be blatantly that. It's actually taken from one of the first games of D&D I played a few years back, so reading that now I was momentarily convinced it was our DM talking about that game. I talked to the DM, asking if he posted anything about our game, ever, to anywhere. He says he didn't. I asked if he'd seen that post, he doesn't remember. So I am now even more confused and at odds with the world. So a borrowed-from-DM idea is probably a borrowed-from-internet-post idea, compounding the madness exponentially. So assuming such a link (which I am assuming. for they are ridiculously similar) I'm quite happy with saying that it was indirectly a source of inspiration to me when coming up with inspirations... and now my brain is sore. DM Morgan.

It's probably a lot less borrowing, and a lot more arriving at the same idea by coincidence. Creative minds have been generating ideas for so long that hardly anything is truly original, and there's so much stuff out there you can't check your work against all of it.

It's true. There are tons of studies, which is somewhat ironic, on how low the percentage of truly original thought exists on the world. The highest I have seen is 5% original thought down to .1%. I am more intrigued by the fact that the like minded individuals were both stumbled upon by someone. Also, I can't get the idea of a show called The Working Dead out of my head since reading that reddit post, haha. Zombie sitcom about them having to go out and work in the fields.

Well no harm no foul, its a pretty awesome story, theres also another one that has this dynasty of good necromancers who's only "minions" are family members. i.imgur.com/mBDtmQm.png be aware its a pretty long story also lengthy but found it funny.

While i've enjoyed every episode, this episode was the most useful to me, because I have a bad habit of glossing over details to get to the exciting bit due to limited play time of the players. Someone mentioned the Ice Shriekers? the arctic snow critters that engulf you and sink you into the ground and have ice magic missiles? when you can-watch 'The Thing'-John Carpenter horror film from the eighties with Kurt Russell as the protagonist, you'll love it! I liked the idea of using a few details and that some of them are useful for later, not always immediate. Also using sounds to twist the players expectations gives me some good ideas, though I may have to boost my sound library, which is currently old diablo and warcraft sound affects. Re describing cooking - I have to do this more often. I remember last campaign one of my players loved to be the groups chef, though he had no survival/cooking skill. He rolled a crit 1, but had a huge bluff skill. So he served up some 'buns' which he got the ingredients from forgaging (his pet jaguars poop) though the others noticed the 'earthy' smell he bluffed them into eating
