I was walking around in the bookstore the other day and I stumbled upon a 1989 DragonLance novel called Weasle's Luck. Anybody read that?
Also, I have read the Binding of the Blade series. An extremely worthwhile fantasy series. I have just finished reading the first book in the abyssal plague trilogy and was highly impressed.

It is a part of the dragonlance series yet not written by the original authors and i haven't been as happy with the books not written by weis/hickman

Now that I know the SPOILER tags work...... The part that made me well up the most was when the Majere twins' roles were reversed and Raistlin was powerful, and Caramon wasn't.
"Lean on me, my brother."
Don't know why. That scene just always got to me.

Speaking of the Majere twins I just finished reading Soulforge and I couldn't get over how big of a jerk Raistlin was. That was probably the authors intention... I should finish the trilogy since he probably turns around at the end. Soulforge has been the only DragonLance story I've read so far, it was the only one I could find in stores.

But, seriously he doesn't get better throughout the novels? My luck!

But check out the Chronicles Trilogy if you want the full skinny. As it is, Soulforge probably spoiled a lot of the original books as it is. LOL

We all know the whole story is about tasselhoff really lol I do not completely understand what makes Kender's so special. In my mind they are just annoying Hobbits with ADD.

It's the fearlessness that endears them to me. One of my favorite short stories of any genre was from Reign of Istar (Tales), featuring an aspiring Knight of Solamnia, who happened to be a kender.

I see that. I probably should read a few more stories concerning Kender. I'll look into that short story. And I will definitely check out the DragonLance Chronicles.

Anyone pick up the Dragonlance books yet? I'm always super-eager to hear a new read's take on it.

I'm still reading Weasel's Luck... which apparently is not a very great part of the series (well it isn't part of the series entirely). I'm trying to find the original series, but haven't yet. Weasle's Luck isn't too bad, but goodness not many of the characters are likable.
