So in the world that I am creating, a clan of Dwarves believe that the gold, silver, mitheral, etc deposited within their mountain is actually the solidified liquids of one of their Gods and that the mountain that they live in is actually the body of one of their Gods that had died centuries ago. Now, there is really no way of proving that it is or is not the truth, but it seems that anything made from these materials vs those found elsewhere has various benefits to them. (This is really all the details that I have worked out so far, but if anyone wants to lift those mental weights with me, I sure could use the spotters)

This is the second time today I have thought about Knowhere from the Marvel Universe! They farm the body of a dead Eternal (god) in much the same way. Using the spinal fluid and then living inside of it. I think starting from mundane uses and building from there is the best starting point. Lets say they use it to make currency in the form of gold coins, they can then track wherever those coins go. Using silver filigree on means of travel making hem go faster, horseshoes, minecarts, etc.

I had completely forgotten about Knowhere. I guess my subconscious started working without me. Since I posted this, I thought that maybe there is one true believer that is mapping out the "veins", trying to see if the eventually form some sort of nervous system like the Dwarves have and maybe to see if it takes home to a "heart" or something else.
