Going to be throwing this up against my players most likely next game.
I took an idea from one of the past podcasts about "skinning" a variety of creatures, and I took it a step further. Long story short, there's a demon working with this goblin warlock. And the two of them have been using the goblin community as their subjects. As the PC's were going through the area, I kept rolling randomly for a different creature I could feasibly combine with a gobiln - basically, completely skinning the creature, but as a twisted warped goblin - like some combination of the two.
Now, the battle with the Demon & Warlock went fairly easily. But what they don't know is that I'm going to have 1 (or more) Goblisaurus Rex's chase them out of the caverns. The concept is that these goblins won't even be aggressive, but are more like puppies and won't know that the PC's can be hurt by their "play". As they start getting attacked, they'll kick in.
Up to this point, I've not drawn any of these monsters. So, I figured I'd work on the big end one that they haven't seen yet.
Side note - I am just finding this style and my ability to do it pretty well. But this is more a study on wrinkles. Once I built them around the corner of the mouth I simply couldn't stop! So, yeah, I know it looks really weird, but it's kinda supposed to.
So, what other ideas would you have for this beast?
