Hey Folks,
I'm new here, but recently found the DMB podcasts, primarily DM Nastics; and have been inspired to join the community.
I have been DMing for a few years now, and recently decided to start a new homebrew game with 4 players. We have a kobold-barbarian, wood elf-cleric (atheist, but worships/proselytizes science as their deity), a human warlock, and the 4th is TBD.
We decided on doing a "Parallel-Multiverse-Dystopia" Disney Campaign, and while I have a lot of ideas for a string of adventures, I am hoping other folks could feed into some of my ideas.
The overarching story will start with them being from different realms from a sort of "Citadel of Ricks"/multiverse-FBI which assigns them to travel to all these different versions of Disney Land acquiring maguffins to eventually unseat/destroy the business entity that is Walt Disney.
Some things I'm hoping to eventually incorporate:
Anyway, this is just the beginning of what I'm hoping to develop into a full-scale adventure campaign. Let me know if any ideas spark with you, and that you feel like sharing, or if you have any constructive feedback on tailoring things to the character's experiences.
Cheers,

We decided on doing a "Parallel-Multiverse-Dystopia" Disney Campaign, and while I have a lot of ideas for a string of adventures, I am hoping other folks could feed into some of my ideas.
The overarching story will start with them being from different realms from a sort of "Citadel of Ricks"/multiverse-FBI which assigns them to travel to all these different versions of Disney Land acquiring maguffins to eventually unseat/destroy the business entity that is Walt Disney.
- Walt survives as a Lich and is the literal puppet-master of many of the parks, converting people into life-long addicts of the "magic of Disney", and he uses their life-energy to fuel his power/survival.
- There will be several "versions" of Disney Land that they may travel to: "retirement home", "Summer Camp", "gang-land", etc.
- There is a warlock in the party, and assuming they survive, I am hoping that Walt (or Goofy) IS their patron--but need to keep working with them on developing that relationship.
Some things I'm hoping to eventually incorporate:
- The "villains" in Disney stories are actually victims and the heroes need to be dealt with
- The campaign PCs will have to go incognito so as to not attract unwanted attention in all the dimensions, alerting the Disney Empire to their plans/effort.
- Mickey and Minney, along with the 7 dwarves have been peddling 'Arcaine' and have created a drug empire. (borrowed from Not Another DnD Podcast)
- Maleficent is an adult black dragon who is held captive in the Disney Castle and must be rescued/freed.
- In the retirement home edition, many of the characters experience flashbacks of "the glory days" which may or may not include sensitive subjects like domestic violence, alcohol abuse, etc. [these topics have been mutually agreed-upon as acceptable during session 0].
- At some point, Goofy will be a werewolf and Pluto will his handler.
Anyway, this is just the beginning of what I'm hoping to develop into a full-scale adventure campaign. Let me know if any ideas spark with you, and that you feel like sharing, or if you have any constructive feedback on tailoring things to the character's experiences.
Cheers,
