For those of you interested in playing a death metal bard!
College of Discord:
All bards learn how the magic of harmonics can aid their allies and hinder their opponents, but bards of the College of Discord prefer to focus on how dissonance can just as easily influence minds... usually in negative ways.
Bonus Proficiency: At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the Intimidate skill and martial weapons
Howl: At 3rd level, you have learned to scream like a banshee to unnerve your foes. Spend and roll one of your Bardic Inspiration dice, and choose a creature within 30 feet of you that can hear you. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw with a DC equal to your Spell Save DC + the BI die result. If it fails, on its turn it must use its movement to move away from you, to a minimum distance equal to 5 feet x the BI die result. It must Dash if it cannot achieve this distance using its normal movement. Otherwise the creature may take actions normally on its turn, but if it cannot achieve this distance for any reason, the only action it can take is Block.
Creatures immune to the Frightened condition are not affected by Howl.
Dirge: At 6th level, the Bard may choose spells of the Necromancy school from any spell class list.
Cacophony: At 14th Level, you have mastered the art of dissonance. Add your Charisma modifier to the damage roll of any spell which causes necrotic, thunder, or psychic damage.

That's pretty bad-ass! Reminds me of what Melkor might have been doing during the Great Music of the Ainur.
