Ideas and Inspirations for and adventure i'm working on. The party find themselves in possession of a map to a lost treasure in the ruins of an ancient city the party must travel to the city and brave the dangers it holds while being hounded by an antagonistic organization after the treasure for there own nefarious ends. i hope to keep it in the spirit of an Indiana Johns or with James bound movie, or a Dora the explorer episode.

i was thinking of having it start in a bar where the party would be taking a stop from their travels as one of the players would be starting and he's playing a rouge i was going to introduce him by having him meet his contact in the same bar having him arrive after the party becomes acquainted with the scene. the rouge was hired to steal a map and deliver it at the bar, how ever his contact was hired to deliver both the map and a special artifact that is both a key and a (compus or tool to read the map, or something...hdy) and upon failing to deliver when the organization comes to collect they send their own agents to collect instead they would start by trying to negotiate but they will turn to violence rather than pay. which i was intending to blow up into a big bar fight.

i hope the first session will end with the party learning they have the map/key to the treasure where the treasure is and have a plan on how they will get there i haven't said yet but the party will be roughly around level 6 when this opens i don't believe any of them have teleport but i wasn't planing on it being an option but if they chose to go that route i want them to have to do something to earn it. if anything i want the trip from the bar to the city to be one to four session on it's own where each session would be a leg of their journey which i hope would be made by the party giving them informed options i.e. river boat ride, a hot air balloon/ plane, through the jungle, or a long road.
