My world was created by 5 titans (based on the 5 colors and their domains from MtG) As their power began to dwindle they chose from the mortals those that best represented the domains and aspects of their power to rule when they were gone.
Originally I had intended to use the already created gods. I think now I'll tweet them and create some of my own.
there's like 4-5 MtG episodes, make sure you check them all out, strong theme-flavour running through them
I don't really like the idea of the titans having children that defeated them as in the Greek mythology for my world. I actually have a plan to run a campaign with no gods only the titans where the players along with key NPC's are actually granted god hood by the titans before they leave. They become the gods of the world they have been playing in during previous campaigns.
I also have an idea for a post apocalyptic campaign where the gods have more or less destroyed the world (maybe a god wars type era) and the titans return to help the adventurers defeat the gods and chose new gods.
The titans will still have an influence in the world from a far through things like the warlock pact of the titan.
As far as the use of MtG goes I plan to take small ideas for magic items and a few ideas for monsters. The 5 colors of power will only have impact on how I divide the titans domains and the power they grant to the gods they choose.
