1) Name: Leed, Warden of Sorrow
2) Alignment: Neutral Good
3) Power level: Lesser
4) Domains: Death (Dying), Emotions (Grief),
5) Details
Appearance: A black cloak-like space filled with the night sky wrapped around the darkest shadows and a moon-like mask where a face might be.
Symbol: A waning moon.
They say misery loves company and that is exactly what Leed is. Made of not one being but a collective of lost shadows pulled together, Leed are many sadness', losses and regrets at the ends of lives personified and steeled against their very nature. Leed oversees the dying and they work towards protecting those close to death and those effected by it.
Whenever a being is dying and they are truly alone, in all sense of the term, Leed will arrive and bring their soul into the folds of their cloak. Otherwise, Leed will still show up to those dying by themselves and give their souls gentle comfort before it is taken by whatever other god has claim. Being of not singular mind, Leed has many thoughts all the time and though they can be shy or resistant with some gods, to those Leed does speak to, they hear a lot of words.
Leed and Pix
Leed do not interact much with Pix as Pix's increasingly complex and inventive ways to result in death borders on the horrific for Leed's sensibilities. That said, some of Leed cannot help but be curious about a few of Pix's most ingenious mechanisms. How could a butterfly's wings kill so many on the other end of the earth?
Leed and Leyorin
Leed look upon Leyorin with approval. Collectively kind, they are fond of anything that provides succor. Leed may sometimes try to convince Leyorin about stretching the parameters of honourable. They share Leyorin's view that the mortals have a special something and some have a wish to understand it.
Leed and Exinani
Wary around Exinani, Leed is unbalanced by their certainty. They are in agreement of Exinani's stance on undead but because they can exacerbate the grieving process by scaring the bereaved. Leed omits the companionship fire can bring as they ponder to Exinani if it may be a more final funerary rite than dirt.
Leed and the Lord of Death
Chess confuses Leed. They can never decide on the same move and when they try to just play a tempest forms within their forum. Nevertheless, Leed infrequently asked for lessons as the Lord of Death intimidates them all.
Leed and Xavren
Xavren and Leed have what you would call a strict professional working relationship. On the surface, Leed are curt and despite Xavren's patience, Leed feels rushed by their presence. Secretly, Leed greatly admires Xavren, viewing their duty of chaperoning the dead as a selfless act of service to the departed.
Leed and Alyssa
Leed are aloof and distant when Alyssa is close. The followers of the mistress of coin are no strangers to crafting brutal or slow deaths and Leed has not seen the goddess dissuade this kind of action. They do connect with her now and then on matters of how socioeconomic factors relate to infrastructure and death rates.
Leed and Yit
Yit will often find Leed nearby when they show up to shepherd a new ghost. Over the centuries, they have become friendly with Yit and commends them for their work in providing relief for the animated deceased. Leed often asks for Yit to tell them the story of their recent ghost's.
Leed and Dormi
Leed only has glimpsed Dormi in passing. Only appearing on the material plane with the dying, Leed has known of Dormi's presence but never tried more than to whisper to her. Unsure really of what Dormi even is, Leed feels maybe one of the other gods can explain it to them some day.
Leed and Zhakerix
They may not know much about Zharkerix but Leed appreciates their efficiency in death. When a storm comes to kill an area and no one is left to grieve, Leed considers it a draw. Leed does come across the watery god often though as they both will be there to see a drowning at sea, albeit for different reasons.
Leed and Fenris
As a fan of animals, Leed cannot help but enjoy Fenris' presence. Leed disapproves of Fenris' actions towards the other gods however, as workable companionship among colleagues is important. Leed would never ask but wishes to give Fenris' back a good scratch and tell them they might not be a Good boy but they were a good boy.
Leed and Grimoire
When Grimoire is in the area, Leed does their best to become inconspicuous and disperse into the shadows. In the rare occasions where this proves too much of a challenge, Leed remains mostly quiet. Leed feels like Grimoire's eyes read the thoughts of each and every one of them when gazed upon by the undead god.
Leed and Calixis
Leed is amused at Calixis' inability to remain in their divine tasks. Such is the folly of the individual. Leed also appreciates the manner of the Maw's deaths. Since mortals foolishly believe that accidents 'just happen' it alleviates their grief when close ones die in this manner. When not busy, Leed will sometimes look over Calixis' latest works.
