Oh man am I glad that I got to hear DM Mitch and joatmoniac talk about DnD in space! Having spent most of my roleplaying life doing space adventures I totally geeked out on this episode.
There's so much to talk about this episode, and I feel like you guys could dive pretty deep into this one (and I for one would love this to become a series if you can swing it).
For the rest of us forum-goers, what kinds of space topics are folks interested in?
I would like to hear your thoughts on:
Anyway, you can tell I am passionate about Dnd in space. Interested to hear what folks say! Also Mitch/Joat, if you guys are at all interested I would be more than happy to talk about this kinda stuff with you guys. I have a space campaign that lasted almost a decade so I can go for days on this.

I would like to hear your thoughts on:
- Building a spaceship crew! Every good sci-fi show is defined by how good its crew is (same goes for any exploration campaign I think). Do you guys approve of having NPCs as crew-members? What would your ideal crew be?
- What are your thoughts on customizing your ships as you go? Tying things back into the home-base episode I think it would be amazing to give the players options to adapt their ship as they go as much as they adapt their characters. I feel like the ship in these types of games is almost like its own character. Certainly the Enterprise, Millennium Falcon, and Serenity are just as endearing as the crews that pilot them. How would you recommend DMs engage with that?
- I feel like with space, it becomes much easier to do little episodic adventures that are VERY different from each-other. I mean in space you could be one or two warps away and you go from lava planet, to jungle, to arctic as fast as you can. Sure you could do this by like plane-shifting or something like that. Let's not forget culture shifts like you talked about in the episode on top of environmental changes! So many possibilities. What are your guys' thoughts on different planets? Or do you think space can help provide variety from session to session or prevent your game from getting stale?
