This is a line of creatures I created for my world years ago. All of the creatures I've created are for 4e, because that's the system I've had the most experience playing with. I had to dig through three laptops, a composition notebook and my old gaming bag to try to find these stat blocks I'm going to upload these as .xps files (which Windows can read natively), because attempting to transcribe the stat blocks was taking forever and likely would've been a formatting nightmare.
These creatures were native to my world's Abyss, and would be summoned by low-level wizards who wanted shock troops that they could control. The Tar Imps were always fun, especially before players figured out what their mechanic was. The first time they fought them, the wizard dropped a Scorching Burst onto two of them, lighting them on fire. The remaining five Tar Imps were in range of the Blazing Aura that was activated by the fire damage. As such, the chain reaction set a nearby building on fire. The Tar Imps proceeded to smash their way into other buildings to cause even more havoc, setting the entire town on fire as they burned away. As the players hadn't dropped the Tar Captain at this point, his first move once his turn rolled around was to summon another five Tar Imps.
Feel free to use, alter, convert to other systems, and generally have a ball with my Tar beasts (there's actually one more - The Tar Wing, but I can only upload three attachments per post. If you want the Tar Wing, I'll attach it to a later post)
