Greetings, wanderer of the forums! I'm a relatively new dm with 1 year of a pre-made campaign and after many moons of daydreaming I have decided to craft a new world with its own stories. I also discovered the DMB a few months ago. These two things have now culminated into this thread that will help me kickstart my worldbuilding and let me enter this community.
So we'll start by creating Thema's pantheon. Please come with your ideas using these buildingblocks from dmnastics:
1. Name
2. Domain(s)
3. Symbol(s)
4. Core tenet #1
5. Core tenet #2
6. Core tenet #3
7. Name of worshippers.
8. Name of Clerics.
9. Name of Paladins.
10. Name & Description of relic filled with gods power.
11. Name & Description of artifact filled with gods power
12. Name & Description of holy day #1
13. Name & Description of holy day #2
14. Name & Description of temples.
15. Name & Description of ceremonies.
Currently I have *completed* 3 gods/goddesses, Sunna the brilliant sun, Môndt god of the moon(s) and Nieth the lady of the night, and will be posting them as soon as possible (by all means come with your own modifiers on these divinities) . I will also include some loose hooks in the descriptions for other possible gods/goddesses.
Now, I have chosen to define these beings of awesome powers in 2 categories: Gods and Titans.
Gods are beings forever bound to life/unlife, worship and intention, while titans are manifestations of creation and its base elements. There may be a goddes of the sun, light and day. But when the first flame was born, so was its titan and the realm of fire. Titans are very distant and hands-off. They are rearly known or worshipped in any place in the world. They cannot really be defined with the list above so come with anything you can think of: Different titans, their personality and what they like to do in their spare time.
Sorry if I have been a bit bossy and restrictive and sorry for any spelling mistakes that might confuse you.

Môndt, the distant god. Alignment: True neutral. Powerlevel: Intermediate.
His domains are: Moons, dreams, sight, truth and thought.
The world of Thema has 3 moons. 2 lesser moons, Argo and Lissa, that are about 50% larger than our own moon. And the greater moon is simply named "The Moon" after the god himself. His holy symbol is therefore several variations of the three moons together. When depicted he is usually one of the pale frost elves of the north as it is told in legend that the goddess of frost and winter made them in his image. His wings act as his garments and he bears a blindfold to cover his empty eyesockets. The unusual occasion he takes interest and interacts with the mortal coil it is mostly through his herald: a three eyed owl. It is said that if the owl appears in someones dreams that there is prophecy hidden in these dreams that the moon god has seen himself.
His core tenents are: 1# Do not act on emotions without thought, for they are blind and lead to results unseen. 2# Always seek the truth of any subject before they are to be acted on. 3# Seek to destroy any falsehoods for yourself, although there is no need to reveal any truth to anyone else. They should know only if they are worthy or capable enough to find out.
His few worshippers are called eyes, while his clerics are named seers, with a variation of farseer, overseer and for the closest priest to their god: the seeing heart. Môndt has yet to chose any paladins to act out his will and spread his faith.
His most famous relic is the "Moonlit Eyes". A set of goggles forged of silver and mithril seamlessly together with a multitude of lenses that can be applied to each eye in several combinations. The user can make an intelligence save/check to apply the correct lenses to gain some sort of vision, such as darkvision, truesight and the ability to see someones heart. If the user fails he/she either sees something no mortal should see or uses a combination harmfull to the user, both resulting a damaging effect to the users mind or eyes, what kind is up to the dm.
Môndt's artifact is the "Wings of the Night", a lesser version of Môndt's own wings crafted in union with Nieth. The fabric is made of the night sky, it is sewn with moonlight and embroiderd with stars. They can function as a pair of wings or as a cape. They can be used for flight of unmatched elegance and any stealth check made under the night sky leaves the user undetectable unless any spell connected to daylight are used (if anyone else can think of a fitting third ability please indulge me).
Holy days connected are as such: 1# The Dusking day. Held in the middle of atumn it represents Sunna handing over influence over the world to her brother and summer giving way to winter. It a day of thought and significant actions before the waiting of winter. People gather and meet their family and community before winter may hinder and seperate them. They share what they can of food, song, dance and stories to name a few. It's traditionaly the final day before winter were lover may be handbound (marriage).
2# Heartnight. The moons of Thema all have different lunar cycles. Argo has a somewhat faster cycle than our moon and Lissa has a slightly longer cycle. Any night were both Argo and Lissa are full is seen as a fatefull night indeed, for the moon god has decided to open both eyes to watch the coming events . If both Argo and Lissa are new it is a night where noone is safe, for the moon god is sleeping and anything can happen unseen on this night. "The Moon" has a lunar cycle lasting exactly a year and is many times the size our moon. The night of the full moon is named Heartnight an lies in the middle of winter. This is the safest night of the year as the moon god opens his heart and shows his affection towards all of creation and his desire to protect everyone. Poisons are renderd useless and it becomes increasingly difficult to wound anyone. For those in pain and those who desire it are granted a peacefull death. On this night there is no lycanthropy, for not even the god of curses can taint the heart of the moon god.
Temples devoted to Môndt are called observatories and are always located on mountains or other places of great elevation that lets them observe the sky and the lands below. The temples are preferably constructed of marble, but never showy. Everything is made to be practical and elegant.
His holy scriptures focus mainly on the saga where Môndt takes his eyes and places them in the sky to watch over all of creation and the flow of time itself. The saga comes to an end when Môndt gives his heart to Nieth and she places it in the night sky, making him the distant god as she covets his heart for herself, hiding it in the night.

Sunna, the brilliant sun. Alignment: Neutral Good. Powerlevel: Intermediate.
Her domains are: sun, light, self improvement and skill.
Her holy symbol is a golden disc surrounded by a corona, commonly in bronze. In Sunnas clergy the coronas material signify the individual's rank within the church, and their specific achivements and skills are engraved in their disc. The engravings sizes also point to the individual's ambition judging by how much space they leave on the disc for future achievements.
Her core tenents are: 1# Always strive to better yourself and become your greatest self. 2# To belive you have reached the pinacle is folly. To abandon the path to progress or prevent others from walking it is sin. 3# Nurture your passion, for it is the fuel of your progress.
Her worshippers are known as "sparks", while her clerics are "guiding lights" and paladins go by "beacons".
Her most known relics are called Sunrays. A sunray is a sword made from a sunbeam and a strand of hair from the goddess herself. A sunray draws its power from the training and struggle from the users past (based on lv). As the sword is made of light it is always under the effect of the spell light unless scabbarded. At a certain level of training the sword gains the ability to cast Daylight and Schorching ray (requires two charges) and later gains more charges. Any and all charges are regained as soon as the sword touches the the first light of dawn. Eventually the sword can cast Sunbeam (three charges). The sword itself also becomes stronger with its user becoming a +1, +2 and so on. The sword also gains radiant damage and spcial effects against undead (only one at a time) eventually gaining the effect that every undead is treated as vulnerable against all the swords damage.
An artifact is yet to be determined (go ahead).
Sunna has two holydays: 1# The dawning day. Set in the middle of spring, the cities utilizes a specific date while farming communities hold ot the day before sowing the first seeds. The day represents her brother Môndt handing over influence to Sunna and winter giving way to summer. Like at dusking day people gather wherever they can, however the reason is to reunite after the solitude of winter. The main festivity is a dace for the whole community, often around a bonfire representing the sun, that varies depending on the region.
2# The day of trial and proving. Set in the middle of summer it is the day when the poeple can show the efforts of the past year. Tournaments and performances of all kinds are held during this day. The morning is devoted to challanges of creation of craft, the midday is filled with trial of physical competence and the evening is filled with performances of song, dance, music and storytelling by those who have refined these arts.
Sunna often shares tempels with other dieties or have shrines devoted to her in other dieties temples. Her temples architecture are based which paths to self perfection the temple's clergy have chosen to take. In temples where worshippers practice ways to improve their bodies (dance, combat, etc.) tends to sport several courtyards where worshippers can train under the sun. If worshippers focus on aspects not bound to their own bodies the temple consists of towers streching towards the sun for clear thoughts and divine inspiration. Any shrine or altar devoted to sunna is placed in such a way so it is always bathing in the light of the sun during the whole day. If it is inside the clergy pays large sums to glass makers to install wide windows that let the sun shine in on the altar/shrine the whole day. To cause a shrine/altar to lie in shadow is seen as a grave insult or even heresy.
The holy scriptures of Sunna primarily focus on two aspect of the goddesses history. The first is a saga of the young goddess earning the right to become the of godess of the sun. The second aspect is her feud with the god/godess of undeath, their battles and conflicts through their worshippers. The most famous tale from this part is the story of sparks that turn from sunna to the god/goddess of undeath for the gift of eternal life. In righteous fury Sunna smote them and vowed to destroy them if the ever dare show themselves under the sun again, thus vampires were born.
