Hey guys I saw this link out there on the webs a few day ago and thought I could post it here. It is basically short 3 paragraph reviews of various RPG systems that are smaller in scale than d&d and pathfinder etc. Some of them have some really cool ideas and mechanics. Worth a read simply for the ideas one might gain from seeing a different set of rules or gameplay mechanics. Micro Reviews.

Being a new roleplayer (DM or not) I found these reviews helpful. The game: Everyone is John seems very disturbing. The mechanics themselves just seem to add to that affect. The one I liked the best was Wushu. I feel like you could implement those mechanics into a D&D game just to get people to interact. I might try to implement this for a new group I'm looking for. To have greater chances of success the more you describe what you are doing, would get people excited about describing what they do. Thanks for the post!

Wushu was also the one I found to be a really interesting idea, even if you just use an amazing description as a way to let the player roll with advantage. Not everytime, just when they really earned it.
