Hello Blockheads!
I was reading through my pantheon last night and realized that a lot of the ideas were... well... dated to say the least. So I thought I would jump on here with a wholly original pantheon and see what kind of ideas you guys would have based on the names and the title of the gods. There are 16 active gods total, 8 who one might consider to be good, and 8 who one might consider to be evil. I'm using the MtG Color Wheel alignment system, so while these gods may tend toward certain ideals, their moralities aren't completely set. As DM Mitch always says, flawed gods are fun.
The "Good" Pantheon
1. Soltaris the Mete 2. Oreana the Grace 3. Vitarian the Bulwark 4. Ruan the Vanguard 5. Tenar the Harbinger 6. Athalia the Sage 7. Oromis the Sage 8. Ilethel the Augur
The "Evil" Pantheon 1. Drakal the Horde 2. Nymora the Nihil 3. Udaen the Ire 4. Taranae the Vain 5. Maelith the Veil 6. Haem the Shade 7. Tasis the Ruse 8. Arad the Taint
Take one or all and give me your spin on them. No answer is wrong. I just want to see what you guys come up with!

So, in order, here are my thoughts:
1. Solitaris the Mete - God of justice. Based on the name, I'm guessing also a loner among the pantheon. Probably white with perhaps a bit of red. 2. Oceana the Grace - Goddess of beauty and the water. Also depending on which definition of grace you're using, maybe also mercy. Blue, maybe with some white. 3. Vitarian the Bulwark - God of protection. Probably depicted as a big burly fellow. White with green? 4. Ruan the Vanguard - God of war, whose favor tends to fall on the attacker. Red/green 5. Tenar the Harbinger - Messenger goddess, maybe also counts travel among her domains. Green/blue 6 & 7 Athalia and Oromis the Sages - God and goddess of knowledge and fortelling. Possibly also magic. Brother and sister. One is blue/white, the other white/blue 8. Ilethel the Augur - Goddess of scrying and omens. Blue/green.
1. Drakal the Horde - God of dragons, particularly chromatic dragons. Red, but maybe also all colors. 2. Nymora the Nihil - Goddess of void, or destruction. Black, maybe black/red 3. Udaen the Ire - God of wrath. Pure red. 4. Taranae the Vain - Goddess of vanity and selfishness. Black, with...white maybe? Not sure, but probably not mono-black. 5. Maelith the Veil - Goddess of hidden things. Black/blue 6. Haem the Shade - God of necromancy. Mono black. 7. Tasis the Ruse - God of cruel tricks. Black/blue. 8. Arad the Taint - God of coruption. Black/Green.
How'd I do?

Good names and good mix of deities.
However with a Good group and an Evil group its abit black/white, with sentient creatures things are rarely so simple.
So i'd suggest a good god is the partner/wife etc of an evil god, then pick another good & evil god and make them siblings.
Vitarian and Ruan could hate eachothers guts, Drakal could be friendly rivals with Ruan and Athalia.
For historical examples - Thor and Loki were blood brothers, often travelled together and were still often rivals. Set defeated his brother Osirus. Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris, and Horus defeated Set.

Thanks for the replies! School started up for me, so I have been preoccupied, so forgive the late response. I love the ideas above. I realized as I was reading that Oromis was called "The Sage". That was a typo in my part. It is Oromis the Paragon.
I love the relationship between the gods, visa vi the Nord, Roman, Egyptian, and Greek style pantheons. My initial idea was that each of these gods would have domain over certain plains, a "good" and an "evil" god for each plane. They could be spouses or the spouses could be in charge of the other planes. My second thought process was that the gods who are opposed elementally/morally will hate each other but I had never thought of tension within the same house of gods.
Lots of stuff to chew on.

Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris, and Horus defeated Set. False, Odin and Loki were blood-brothers, marvel has bastardized much of the Norse mythos and cant be trusted. Loki is flame wrought from the chaos itself
