So I asked my players to answer my questions so I could weave their suggestions into the campaign. Here's what I got in response Player 1 Brainstorm 1 Something you can smell: Burnt Electronics Something you can hear: Sound of stone skipping over frozen lake Something you can see: Double Rainbow Player 2 Brainstorm 1 Smell: Crisp mountain air Hear: Rushing water See: A vast expanse of fir trees Player 3 Brainstorm 1 Something you can smell: Green Something you can hear: number 11 Something you can see: the shadows Player 1 Brainstorm 2 : Thing 1 Item: Ring of Bureaucratic Wizardry: goo.gl/WnVuZ6 Thing 2 Creature: Zaratan Thing 3 Event: A cult of Fat Labrador Player 2 Brainstorm 2 : Creature: An awakened dog Item: An intelligent lantern Event: Ambush! Player 3 Brainstorm 2 : Thing 1 Item: shut the f*ck up stick Thing 2 Creature: whinny the poo Thing 3 Event: Jap all girl school festival So what I will do is create 9 events to spread throughout the campaign, each with 2 things suggested by my players weaved into the event. This is an awesome idea, and will keep this method of development in mind going forward.
Whinny the poo - a town with honey as its main export is having an issue with a werebear. No one suspects the innkeepers husband, Whinny, who is very forward about his sweet tooth. He could have a lair outside of town, where he stores the honey he takes. Unless they want the real Pooh.

I'm sorry as soon as I got to the double rainbow part all I could think of is that old you tube video with the wasted hiker seeing double rainbows. "Oh man double rainbows all the way"

I just used that bit in my game, they were hunting Ork tribes looking for a Beard item (Joatmoniac's Hunt for Beard Force Quest) and they found some Orks camped in a valley, the Shaman stood under the double rainbow, thinking he was going through spiritual ascendancy, and after the fight the players failed to walk up the rainbow
