You all may well have discovered this, but the New York Public Library has digitized a collection of over 20,00 maps. They're all available for use under a creative commons license. I've only clicked through a few but they range from highway maps of New York to 100 year old maps of the Hungarian empire to early maps of the American colonies.
This is a real treasure trove for anyone running a historical or modern campaign set on the east coast. And honestly I imagine a lot of these could be adapted for more fantastic purposes as well.
You can scope them here! and find an overview of the collection on the NYPL blog.
