I haven't used Google+ for a while, but thought I would fire it up on my gaming profile. Anyone have any good communities on Google+ they know of I should join?

Google+: If its not dead, its dying. I had a number of people and groups I followed a couple years ago. Google made some changes, and I haven't been on it since. When I did use it, I found that most of what I saw on there was "international", meaning non-USA and often non-English speakers. Not a problem in itself, but also not a compelling social media platform for me at this time.

Most haven't been posted to in some time. That sucks!

Yeah, it was a tricky design for a social media platform in the first place. It was really wide open, more so than even Twitter. The Google algorithms would put posts in front of you. People you'd never heard of. That was cool for discovery, but it was also a prime breeding ground for trolls. Some of the worst examples of human nature I've ever seen happened on Google+. Imagine the comments section of YouTube as a social media platform (one's YouTube account is forcibly liked to one's Google+ profile, as is Gmail incidentally).
