Hey, hows it going? I found out about this podcast last month and this is definitely some cool stuff dudes. I had a huge backlog of reaper minis I wanted to paint, but never got around to, but now I have gone through a bunch of them plus the first 30 or so episodes.
I've been Dming off and on for the last 5 years, but most of them were in god awful zombie apocalypse sandboxes. I always wanted to play some fantasy, but my old group had no interest in what I call wooj and just stuff in cold, hard reality with zombies. Wooj is a term a guy I knew used to describe the strange and mystic, originally pertaining to shamanistic stuff, but now just meaning anything in the arcane and beyond.
I originally started gaming in the dreaded 4E in the only game I ever played in that had a definite end and that was several years ago. When I picked up DMing, I was running an awful version of 3.5 called D20 Modern since the people I was gaming with at the time, as mentioned, loved modern stuff plus zombies. Introducing them to that system is the biggest gaming sin I have ever committed as they refuse to ever listen to me about how just about anything is a better option. I don't game with them anymore.
Recently I have managed to wrangle up a group to play in a game I am DMing that is for the first time for me, a fantasy game, so I hope my game goes as well as I hope all of your games go.
