Greetings fellow DMs/GMs,
Do you ever find yourself wishing you would make more time to work on your world and RPG campaigns set therein? Do you ever promise yourself, or worse, your players, that you'll work out a certain aspect of your lore or campaign backstory, and come next session, you've developed none of that?
If you're like me, this has happened to you. But never fear, for DM Phil has the solution! Presenting the amazing Dungeon Master Scoring System, a revolutionary new way to track your progress and challenge yourself to do better, or at the very least, keep up a steady pace of game and world development.
Here it is folks, the big secret. What we at DM Phil Labs have done is turn the act of campaign building into a game in and of itself! That's right, we put the "gaming" back in "meta-gaming." Like D&D, there's no right or wrong way to play, but here is the basic method:
1. Develop the tasks that you, as a DM, wish to do more of (examples: write 250 words of lore, draw a dungeon map)
2. As you work on your campaign, give yourself a point every time you complete one of the listed tasks
3. Tally up your score at the end of the day
Yes, DMs and GMs, it's just that simple. Maybe you want to set a daily goal for yourself of earning 3 points, or maybe you want to really challenge yourself to beat your high score every day. Maybe you and some friends want to compare scores at the end of every week. I'm not here to tell you how to apply this system. That's for you to decide!
This has been a message from DM Phil Labs.

Now the real question is what can I spend these accumulated DM points on?

Haha! Glad I found this. 500 DMpoints and you can earn yourself a TPK. But, seriously, DM Phil has a really good point if you write every day it does wonders to any story. Part of the reason we have DMnastics, we can use those to "workout" as well.
