So I've just stumbled across this article that talks about a technique for generating random dungeons, in it it has a bunch of GIFs visually showing the processes that they are talking about, the GIFs come from Tinykeep a website that randomly generates a dungeon every time you refresh, while you can't control any settings (amount of rooms, size, etc) but I still think it could be a pretty good tool if you need a dungeon in a pinch.

RDGs interest me, but it begs the question: are they good practice? When is it appropriate to come up with a Random Dungeon and when should you plan for one? I love these RDGs, especialy in sparking my imagination.

See I am the kind of guy who doesn't think everything is a dungeon or that there is a dungeon at every corner. I use them sparingly in standard play I would say. Though nothing wrong with a good old dungeon run.
This concept is interesting too. Coding your own random dungeon maker seems fun.
