Being a son of a DM, i took the mantle 5 years ago and have DMed sporadically ever since. Having been raise as a military brat and being prior service, table top gaming was a bit rare. I started D&D around 2008 as a player with a DM who changed the story and forced to re roll Pcs. A few month leading up to my honorable discharge from AF, i became our new DM. Nobody else wanted to, their loss. A year after my move to AR to be with my wife and kids i started a short lived new game. Everyone else's lives got in the way disband that group. Flash forward to this year, i visited my father and received this collection Which prompted me to start my first GURPs facebook game, and im slowly gathering my PCs for a D&D Facebook game. Occassionally i reboot my Campaign i started with my two daughters, but im very loose with rules, to teach them while making it fun. I found DM Mitch and Chris's DMs Block a few months after i decided to run GURPs. What a find, just listening to them have sparked many ideas. These ideas i will try and post on this forum. I plan to use the Food Mage, in one of my games.

Great stuff! Always good to see another Vet around here (welcome aboard!). Yeah I hear ya with the 'lives get in the way' part. My usual group had to split up and I've been looking for a game ever since. I have found that Roll20 is great but I still havent found a good group to play in yet, but I am looking to start a group to DM for here in the near future. I had to kinda put some stuff off because of school getting busy.
Again, welcome aboard!

Oh-ho! I see some Palladium books in there! Loved Heroes Unlimited, Rifts, TMNT, Ninjas and Superspies, etc. when I was younger! Welcome to the forums! Thnx, yeah there are a few of those, GURPS third and fourth edition. I havent gotten room to shelf these these are my first edition D&D books with some AD&D. The only one i couldnt snag was my father's AD&D monster Manual. It was the first run that had the Cthulhu in it, before they had to remove it. I call it my shelf of knowledge. Sure certain books are for particular games, but the knowledge and ideas are cross-game compatible. I could use bits of GURPS character creation to create D&D Npcs. GURPS has disadvantages and advantaged, with quirks, so using that i could create all sorts of characters for myself and others. What i plan to dive into are these books Rich just got that book. Great stuff! Always good to see another Vet around here (welcome aboard!). Yeah I hear ya with the 'lives get in the way' part. I had to kinda put some stuff off because of school getting busy. Again, welcome aboard! About to be even harder with myself trying to start college. Luckily most of my DMing is through facebook. Later after college i want to either start or find a local group to join.

Hey! I finished my masters in 2014, haha. How many more were finishing school at that time? It's our bond! That is a fantastic shelf of knowledge there, and I can't wait to see the ideas you will bring as the conduit to that shelf. Always great to have another Blockhead join the ranks.
