So with Avengers 2 coming out in a few months, the interwebs are a buzz with rumors that an Avenger is going to die in the new movie. I have my theories on who it will be, but I was wondering what your theories are...

Spiderman. That's all they will be able to fit of him into the movie. Marvel got him back to late...

Who I hope will die: Iron Man (never liked him for some reason...) Who will most likely die: Black Widow or Hawkeye (both characters will be a shocking loss to the team, but are still 'expendable'). Hawkeye even died in the comics. Well... as far as people 'die' in the Marvel universe.

****The following post may contain spoilers from the comics******
Lol. I'm kinda with you on Iron man. I like him, but I hate how he is the most popular among the massive movie going audience. He's a jerk and in the comics can be a border line villain at times. Hawkeyes a good choice. Especially with the introduction to Scarlet Witch. My money however is on Thor. Im also hoping for a Ragnarok (the clone) appearance in Civil War.

If they kill thor I will be super bummed, he is most certainly my favorite. Also I would only be happy about it if in avengers 3 or thor 3 they re-introduce thor as the new Fem Thor, who is a totally epic individual.

I think Thor is one of the most obvious picks because....Thor dies in the comics all the time. Death cannot stop the god of thunder. Thor 3 would simply be about him escaping the underworld.

I would be pretty disappointed if it was Thor. But, the only super-hero I know who ever really died (and didn't come back) was Captain Marvel. Ugh! That annoyed me so much, Captain Marvel was one of my favorites and then... he died of cancer. Really? That was one of the reasons I have never gotten into Civil War. Captain Marvel came back, but it wasn't Marvel it was a fake pretending to be him... make up your mind Marvel! And now his girlfriend is the super-hero...

It's not Marvel's fault....it's the Skrull's....

Thought this thread needed wrapping up after AoU. It was Quicksilver, which I wasn't expecting at all...

I honestly think there are more politics behind it. Given that Quicksilver is in the Fox movies, and had such a great role I think Marvel wants to avoid him being on both franchises. Also, Quicksilver is supposed to have a bigger role in Apocalypse. I think it makes sense, but would have wished for more character development along the way. I am super hopeful that there is an amazing directors cut of the movie that will be on the Blu ray. I had heard rumor that the original cut was well over 3 hours. I would have loved that, but it's harder to market because less time to have butts in seats and all that. If they can do it to DM Mitch's favorite movies (the Hobbit Trilogy) then why not the Avengers?

I agree as far as Quicksilver goes. There seemed a lot more focus on Scarlet, then even her twin. In a sense, Quicksilver's death held less meaning because they did not build the characters equally.

Maybe the hobbit movies are done in 4E and thats why he loaths them.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. That honestly didn't bother me. I go into the movie that are about books with "based on" mentality. Rarely are yougoing tonfind a movie that stays true to the story. However so times you can stray to far *cough* avatarlastairbender *cough* and become the dribbling ****s. I was entertained by the movies so i enjoyed the movies. But back to marvel I have already preorder it to catch more things i missed.
