Name:Chris Thompson
Age: 24
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Bio: I have lived in Michigan my whole life and absolutely love it here. Don't believe all the haters of Michigan out there. I am currently am working as a Pastor at a church in Grandville, MI and am partway through my seminary degree. I love NBA basketball, best sport to watch. When I have time to read books other than school related I love anything fantasy I can get my hands on. My current choice is The Companions by RA Salvatore. I also am currently engaged and am looking forward to getting married this summer. Cannot wait for that.
Dungeons and Dragons History: I found myself wandering into D&D at the ripe age of 12 in my junior high library. I found some guys talking in really strange voices and inquired into what they were doing. They told me that they were playing Dungeons and Dragons and asked me if I wanted to play with them. I don't think that the DM so much wanted me there but the other players were pretty good friends of mine and asked me to join. The next session the DM gave me a character, which I vaguely remember as a pixie or something like that, and the rest was history. I didn't play much through high school as the guy with all the books, and who was the DM, moved away to a different school system. I picked it back up in college though and have loved it since.
TOP 5's:
Books:
1. The Hobbit (its that good to not include in a compilation of all LOTR stuff).
2. The X-Wing Series (all of them, but I liked the 4th book The Bacta War the best)
3. LOTR books (Fellowship was my favorite)
4. Eragon (The first book)
5. Voyage of the Dawn Treader (from the Chronicles of Narnia)
Foods:
1. Tacos...nough said
2. BBQ Chicken pizza on a thin crust from Pizza Ranch (Midwestern peeps out there will understand this...hopefully).
3. Crab Legs
4. Sushi (Most kinds)
5. Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo from Carrabbas
Favorite Places I have visited:
1. Amsterdam
2. Prague
3. Belize
4. Budapest
