Hello,
My Name is Andy, I first played 3.5e when I was 14, that lasted about 3 months as my friends were less than reliable to organise something permanent. My addiction, however, had already begun. I bought the 3 core rule books and a set of dice. I began creating worlds and stories for a campaign that never seemed to come.
Approximately 3 years ago luck shined it's blessing down upon me, a friend had started a new D&D group and I rallied at the opportunity. Rebuilding my Paladin of St. Cuthbert, Ras was ready to deal justice. 6 months later I started up my own campaign on the lizardfolk infested island of Silenifar and over the course of the next year I lead a band of unlikely adventurers into the heart of the lizardfolk hoard, finishing with a siege upon the human outpost of Bluescale Port. It was glorious, their heroic statues adorning the marina walls to this day.
From there, unfortunately the group fell apart only 2 of the original 6 remained, but it was not my time to fall. A new group of adventurers approached the table. I took this opportunity to explore a pre-written campaign I had loved for a long time, the Shackled City. Now 2 years in and 7 levels up I have been requested to DM at a local club as a second campaign. It is time to return to my world, back to the age of the elemental titans and the dragon lords, the excitement it palpable!
That basically covers my experience with D&D, as for me, my main love is this wonderful game, I also dabble in magic, Magic the Gathering that is. I love all manner of board games and have a love of strategy games and RPGs on the ol' computer box. Mainly, I enjoy the total war series and am on the edge of my seat for the upcoming Warhammer: Total War.
Outside of the gaming world I am a writer and computer programmer. Without D&D my writing would never have been kicked off, it's inspiration fuelling my creativity for the past 9 years. Whenever I was lacking in D&D, the elder scrolls series has been a...suitable supplement.
Apart from that, there is not much else to say, except DM's Block is the best Dungeon Master and D&D podcast I have found on the vast interwebs, keep on recording and keep on inspiring Dungeon Master's, Players and Writers, old and new.
