My mama always said, life was like a NE Doppleganger. You never know what you're gonna get.
I'm Craig, just a regular 41 year old cat from SoCal that works in Sales & Design in a commercial refrigeration business. I have 3 kids (boy 20, girl 18, boy 14), and one grandson just born last July.
I found out about the DMB via their post on the WOTC forums, and have been listening every Monday morning on my commute.
Fav. Movies: Star Wars, LOTR, Tarantino flicks, Marvel
Fav TV Shows: Game of Thrones, The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers, 24.
Fav. Books: Dragonlance Series (the OG W&H stuff), RA Salvatore's series, A Song of Ice & Fire series (aka: Game of Thrones), World War Z (Max Brooks), Day by Day: Armageddon series (JL Bourne).
Fav Music: As Jack Black once said..."You can't kill the metal!" \m/ Slipknot, Pantera, Slayer, Metallica (pre-Black), Megadeth.
Been playing D&D since the mid 90s. One of my HS buddies turned me on to the Dragonlance books. Unbeknownst to me, that's where his twin characters, Lynden and Lance, in his game came from. My first PC ever was a Halfling Thief. I knew nothing about D&D or the lore, so when one of the NPCs was a Drow, I was just like..."Ok, and?". I didn't last very long. HA HA! Needless to say I was hooked from the jump. Decided to try my hand at DMing around 1999. We were playing AD&D at that time, and when 3E came out in 2000, I printed out the conversion .PDF and we continued on for close to 10 years. I think my PCs ended up being around 28th level when we stopped due to people moving, getting married, burn-out. It sucks, but it happens. Lots can take place in 10 years to affect a game.
Bought the 4E books when they hit. We were all immediately turned off by it and we just kinda stopped playing. Wasn't our bag. But the fires definitely got re-stoked with 5E, and I'm back in the mix once again!
Looking forward to chatting with the lot of ya!
