I'm about to run a game in which one of my players is a bounty hunter. (It FFG's Force and Destiny, but I'm hoping this thread can be just as useful for bounty-collecting, Hedge Knight adventurers in 5e as well). I'm burying some important NPC's in the Holonet's Bounty Logs (Star Wars job boards) and I'm using a real Google Sheet to do so. My plan is to update the sheet every session, adding 5-8 names and removing 3-5. So each time this player opens the document she'll see a rotating list of ne'er-do-wells. Best case scenario, she realizes that there's a famous smuggler hiding on planet JUST when the group needs some smuggling connections. Worst case: the gang has an ever-growing fountain of mini-adventures they chase down for Imperial Credits.
Instead of creating 30+ NPC's alone at my kitchen table, I thought I'd reach out for input from you all! You'd do me a massive favor if you dropped a comment with a: 1) Name of the criminal, 2) gender, 3) crime committed, 4) bounty price (in Imperial credits or GP or both), and 5) a means of identification (tattoos, accents, scars, etc). Bonus points for 6) Race (SW, DND, or Both), and 7) Who placed the Bounty.
Thanks in advance! And hopefully when you check back you'll have some creative NPC's to throw in your game, too!
Here's my NPC: 1)Stesoe Klata 2) male 3) Reckless Endangerment, Unauthorized sale of restricted substances, violating (planetary) parole, unpaid parking tickets 4) 2,000 Imperial Credits (or 500gp) 5) A cybernetic (or peg) left leg which is a little longer than his right, causing a limp. 6) Duro (or deep gnome) 7) The Thyferrian (Planetary) Police, Agent Tigdose

I practiced saying Tzzk Kzztkzzt out loud and I swear my cat came running down the hall. I love the sulfur addiction, too!

gsmitty44 I get a little kick out of trying to imagine names not meant to be pronounced by humans lol. This is kind of a fun exercise! I'm gonna throw out a few more because I can. Habusa Dug male, 3'10" Wanted for tax fraud, embezzlement, delinquency of debts, game-rigging Special payout: this bounty specifically states that the payout is 1200 credits *plus* whatever amount Habusa attempts to bribe you with (provided proof in holovid, audio, or text of his offer) Known stimulant addict described as paranoid and jittery; tries to pass it off as enthusiasm. Bounty placed by Hassiton Casinos and Resorts Inc. upon discovery that Habusa, a former bookie and dealer for the gambling company, had been rigging games, skimming pots, and generally embezzling from his employers and their patrons for years. Greedy and slippery, he throws bribes around like it's candy, which is how he's avoided discovery all these years. "Red" Oti Visha Zabrak female, 5'6" Wanted for breach of contract, excessive force by a deputy of the law, aggravated assault, murder, resisting arrest 4000 credits, dead or alive Yellow-skinned Zabrak whose traditional tattoos feature five vertical bars below the mouth. Bounty placed by the Bounty Hunter's Guild on their former member, now disbarred and disavowed. Oti was known for brutality and aggression, hence her nickname, but repeated incidents saw targets killed that were supposed to be captured, irresponsible collateral damage, and general chaos which was worse than the criminals she was catching. Now she's cut loose and operating as a pirate and contract killer. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS; EXERCISE CAUTION!
