Good [insert time you are reading this here] everyone,
It's been awhile since I've been active on Twitter or the forums, but I've been back a bit lately amid this time of Social Distancing. I hope any of you who are reading this are hanging in there, finding ways to keep busy, and stay healthy! Now, onto our feature presentation:
Our DnD5e group just finished a 2.5 year campaign and we decided to try Witcher RPG! During this time of sheltering at home, I decided to write narrative recaps of each session. This was more for myself than for the players. I just needed to enjoy writing again. Finishing my Ph.D. kind of robbed me of that joy for the past 12 months. So here is some stuff that I have thoroughly enjoyed writing in the mornings over my coffee during this time of sheltering in place.
We play once a week, and I'll keep editing this thread and adding links to the new recaps as we play and I write them. Reader be warned, this is the world of the Witcher, so there are some themes and language probably not suited for the kids (but I tried to keep that to a minimal as GM).
The story, in short, is about a mystery of a cursed town in Cintra in March of the year 1272. This is 9 years after the Massacre of Cintra as seen in Season 1 of The Witcher on Netflix. Disclaimer: this is all fan-fiction homebrew within the world of The Witcher.
